But if I\u2019m going to err, I\u2019m going to err on the side of life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->&#8220;Obviously, microcephaly [a potential birth defect resulting from a pregnant woman contracting Zika] is a terrible prenatal condition that kids are born with. And when they are, it\u2019s a lifetime of difficulties,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I\u2019m not pretending to you that that\u2019s an easy question you asked me. But,&#8221; he concluded, &#8220;I believe all human life should be protected by our law, irrespective of the circumstances or condition of that life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/AbortionProcedures.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-88619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg\" alt=\"levatino-ad-LAN\" width=\"306\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg 306w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rubio noted that, despite abortion advocates attempts to use the Zika issue to cast pro-lifers as callous, he consistently voted for funding to fight Zika. Where Republicans diverged from Democrats was simply in ensuring that Congress&#8217;s efforts not be used as cover to funnel more money to the abortion industry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Planned Parenthood angle is something they basically made up to have a political reason not to pass Zika so they can come back in August and campaign on it,&#8221;
