Recent ads have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/06\/17\/us\/politics\/hillary-clinton-ads.html?_r=0\">focused<\/a> on such work.<\/p>\n<p>Her campaign website has also touched upon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/bio\/#children-and-families\">&#8220;Fighting for children and families.&#8221;<\/a> She\u00a0 also touts <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/esa\/gopher-data\/conf\/fwcw\/conf\/gov\/950905175653.txt\">her speech<\/a> at the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/bio\/#health-and-human-rights\">&#8220;Health and human rights.&#8221; <\/a>Her speech referenced &#8220;the right to determine freely the number and spacing of the children [women] bear&#8221; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/womenwatch\/daw\/beijing\/platform\/health.htm\">the conference <\/a>called for supporting abortion.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Last week&#8217;s Democratic National Convention <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/news\/politics\/2016\/07\/29\/defining-time-advocacy-clinton-draws-new-bedford-lessons\/bPntjIj8KhPwUlhOWqxlLK\/story.html\">also<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edweek.org\/edweek\/campaign-k-12\/2016\/07\/hillary_clinton_child_advocacy_work_takes_convention_spotlight.html\">portrayed <\/a>Clinton as a child&#8217;s advocate.<\/p>\n<p>While Clinton may have done work with children, this is only after they have been born.<\/p>\n<p>The same campaign website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/issues\/womens-rights-and-opportunity\/\">touts<\/a> her support for abortion, including when she will &#8220;Proudly stand with Planned Parenthood,&#8221; &#8220;Protect women\u2019s health and reproductive rights,&#8221; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/briefing\/factsheets\/2016\/01\/22\/lifelong-record-roe-anniversary\/\">an extended statement<\/a> on the anniversary of <em>Roe v. Wade.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Clinton believes children don&#8217;t have Constitutional rights until after they&#8217;ve been born, even though she used the term &#8220;unborn person&#8221; while <a href=\"\/news\/hillary-clinton-calls-unborn-persons-denies-constitutional-rights\/\">speaking to<\/a> Chuck Todd of <em>Meet the Press <\/em>in April.<\/p>\n<p>She also emphasized her support for late-term abortion. &#8220;After a certain point in time, I think the life, the health of the mother are clear. And those should be included even as one moves on in that pregnancy,&#8221; she told Todd.<\/p>\n<p>The DNC is on board with Clinton&#8217;s support for abortion. The <a href=\"\/news\/democratic-partys-2016-draft-platform-goes-further-on-abortion\/\">party platform<\/a> endorses not only abortion, but abortion paid for with taxpayer dollars.<\/p>\n<p>The convention also heard from <a href=\"\/news\/cecile-richards-abortion-dnc\/\">Planned Parenthood CEO and President Cecile Richards<\/a>,<a href=\"\/news\/dnc-cheers-as-naral-president-promotes-her-personal-abortion\/\"> NARAL President Ilyse Hogue<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demconvention.com\/speeches\/president-emilys-list-stephanie-schriock-2016-dnc-speech\/\">EMILY&#8217;s List President Stephanie Schriock<\/a>, all pro-abortion organizations which endorsed Clinton long before the nomination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has been hailed as an advocate for children and families by her campaign and supporters.
