PBS<\/a> offers a wide range of programming. For example, you can watch shows about doctors who help \u201cbabies still inside<\/i> their mothers\u2019 wombs.\u201d<\/p>\n

And those who kill them.<\/p>\n

“Twice Born<\/a>” focuses on the special delivery unit at the Children\u2019s Hospital of Philadelphia–a place where doctors perform fetal surgeries. According to the show\u2019s description, it\u2019s also place where parents wonder, \u201cShould they take a leap of faith to repair birth defects with pre-natal surgery, even if it means they might lose their child?\u201d<\/p>\n

But for another group of doctors, losing a child isn\u2019t a risk– it\u2019s the goal. PBS showcased them on “After Tiller<\/a>“,\u00a0a documentary about late-term abortionists. The write-up<\/a> for\u00a0“After Tiller” is different from that of “Twice Born“<\/i>: while the children in question are just as old or ever older, they aren’t called \u201cbabies\u201d on this part of PBS\u2019 website. Rather, \u201cthe potential life of the fetus\u201d is described.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m really not sure how a \u201cpotential life\u201d is able to feel pain<\/a>, but Dr. Kanwaljeet Anand\u2019s research at the University of Tennessee indicates a fetus does at 20 weeks. By then, an abortion usually involves a technique known as dilation and evacuation (D&E). Dr. Anthony Levatino<\/a> is an obstetrician-gynecologist who\u2019s performed\u00a0over 1,200 abortions, and in the video below, he explains what a D&E consists of.<\/p>\n
