Here\u2019s a tip: If your choices affect other people, don\u2019t be surprised if other people have an opinion on them. It\u2019s a simple concept, but there are<\/i> folks who struggle with it. You can find some at the University of Georgia.<\/p>\n

UGA\u2019s Women\u2019s Studies Organization (WSSO) focuses on<\/a> \u201cbringing the discussion found in Women’s Studies classes outside of the classroom\u201d and welcomes \u201call gender identities.\u201d Well, unless your gender is male and you want to discuss abortion; you\u2019re not so welcome then…<\/p>\n

When it comes to abortion, WSSO wants to silence men. That\u2019s obvious from the Facebook post<\/a> shown above. Below it, a commenter declared<\/a>, \u201cNO UTERUS, NO OPINION,\u201d and insisted that being male disqualifies you from discussing the subject. (It seems a hysterectomy will, too.)<\/p>\n

This really is an odd standard. After all, it\u2019s normal to discuss choices that impact others–something abortion clearly does<\/a>:<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s true even when those discussing the issue aren\u2019t the ones directly affected by it. For example, I\u2019m still going to condemn sex traffickers despite not being one of their likely targets. I\u2019m also going to condemn how the abortion industry enables them. Below, you can hear a trafficking survivor named Nicole describe being forced into two abortions–an experience she calls \u201cthe hardest.\u201d<\/p>\n
