{"id":97094,"date":"2016-07-02T10:25:55","date_gmt":"2016-07-02T14:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=97094"},"modified":"2016-07-02T11:54:56","modified_gmt":"2016-07-02T15:54:56","slug":"scotus-opinion-whole-womens-health-v-hellerstedt-women-dont-deserve-better-abortion-agenda-must-win-no-matter-cost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/scotus-opinion-whole-womens-health-v-hellerstedt-women-dont-deserve-better-abortion-agenda-must-win-no-matter-cost\/","title":{"rendered":"SCOTUS Opinion: Women don\u2019t deserve better; the abortion agenda must win, no matter the cost"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>A white-haired male judge born in the 1930\u2019s just penned an opinion that women undergoing surgery do not deserve to have that surgery performed by a doctor with admitting privileges at a hospital and at an ambulatory surgical center.\u00a0 Pro-abortion women across the country embraced Justice Breyer\u2019s opinion.\u00a0 They should not.\u00a0 And if the surgery at issue wasn\u2019t abortion, they wouldn\u2019t have done so.\u00a0 These women would have expected more from the judiciary, and judiciary would have given them more.\u00a0 The state regulations that protected health and safety would have been upheld, and rightfully so.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to abortion, however, the political agenda and its deceitful narrative overpower truth and legitimate concerns.\u00a0 The agenda requires abortion on demand no matter what the real consequences are for women.\u00a0 The judicially imposed political agenda here required that abortionists preform their surgical extermination procedure without admitting privileges at a hospital and in subpar facilities.\u00a0 This is no victory for women.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In the law, when the judiciary examines abortion regulations, cue the famous line from Macbeth: \u201cFair is foul and foul is fair.\u201d\u00a0 There should be no question that undergoing surgery at the hands of a doctor to whom no hospital will grant admitting privileges is foul.\u00a0 There is no question that undergoing surgery in a facility that is not a surgical center is foul.\u00a0 But enter the word abortion, and the judiciary\u2019s insidious political agenda demands both must be done.\u00a0The reasoning?\u00a0 The abortion industry would have to spend too much money and would be too inconvenienced to come into compliance with Texas\u2019 health and safety regulations.<\/p>\n<p>So, Texas\u2019 law that would \u201c\u2018screen out\u2019 untrained or incompetent abortion providers\u201d and \u201creduce health risks for abortion patients,\u201d was struck down as a substantial burden on a woman\u2019s constitutional right to abortion.\u00a0 But wasn\u2019t this really the abortion industry\u2019s burden of complying with the state\u2019s health and safety standards?\u00a0 Or, as Justice Thomas so accurately states in his dissent, the Court struck down these standards \u201cat the behest of abortion providers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The abortion industry\u2019s bully pulpit and unwillingness to comply with the state\u2019s health and safety standards won the day.\u00a0 The Supreme Court essentially reasoned that since the abortion industry did not want to comply with Texas standards, their non-compliance would make abortion more difficult to seek out; therefore, a substantial burden existed.\u00a0 Abortion\u2019s focus could not include quality of health and safety, but should remain cheap and easy in the interest of so called \u201cwomen\u2019s rights.\u201d\u00a0 The opinion echoes one message: women do not deserve better.<\/p>\n<p>This is nothing new.\u00a0 In the Supreme Court, the abortion agenda trumps safety, trumps the legislature\u2019s findings in enacting laws, trumps fully realized consent, trumps parental rights, trumps ordinary constitutional protections, and trumps traditional free speech analysis.\u00a0 The abortion agenda\u2019s power over constitutionally protected liberties comes at no surprise, as abortion trumps life itself.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/AbortionProcedures.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-88619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg\" alt=\"levatino-ad-LAN\" width=\"306\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg 306w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> in 1973, some lawyers, wearing black robes at the Supreme Court, continue to think they are the arbiters of when life begins.\u00a0 Ignored is the inherent value of the life of the unborn child.\u00a0 Science reveals that the child\u2019s full genetic makeup and uniqueness is present at the time of conception.\u00a0 Science reveals the child\u2019s heart beating as early as three weeks into development, and the <span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">child moves independently in the\u00a0<\/span>womb around seven weeks. Science reveals the child experiences pain during the\u00a0second trimester and becomes sentient while in the womb. Science reveals that abortion ends the life of the unborn child.\u00a0 Yet, the Supreme Court, as it did when it upheld slavery, holds that some human life is not worthy of governmental protection.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the Court\u2019s opinion reveals the minimal protections the Supreme Court cares to grant women obtaining abortion.\u00a0 The question everyone should be asking: why is the Court so interested in keeping the abortion industry\u2019s safety standards so low?<\/p>\n<p>In my years of work, I have met many post-abortive women and men, but I have never met anyone who truly wanted to kill his or her child.\u00a0 \u00a0I have only met people who state they once bought into the abortion agenda\u2019s propaganda and are now shrouded in its regretful truth.<\/p>\n<p>Most people do not want to devote any amount of meaningful time thinking about the realities of abortion and what the goal of abortion truly is\u2014the killing of a child.\u00a0 The post-abortive women and men I know are seeking mercy with the later obtained realization that they ended the life of another human being, their child.\u00a0 These scars bear consequences.\u00a0 I even have a friend who attempted suicide years after abortion.\u00a0 These are people who were sold on the abortion industry\u2019s message of being \u201cpro-woman\u201d, compassionate, and good.<\/p>\n<p>The industry targets young girls by claiming to make women more independent, by endorsing a shallow thought process of pregnancy not grounded in science or morality, and by promoting itself with catchy phrases and appealing colors like hot pink.\u00a0 The abortion agenda seeks to fool people at a young age by selling pleasantries, however empty, because their messaging is easier to think about than the reality of what happens at the abortion clinic behind closed doors.\u00a0 Texas\u2019 law sought to make that surgical procedure safer;
