Presidential Democrat hopeful Hillary Clinton, like her husband Bill, has claimed in the past that she wants abortions to be rare.\u00a0Political spin aside, an examination of Clinton’s entire record proves that nothing could be further from the truth.<\/p>\n

A mere nine years ago, in a June 4, 2007, CNN discussion with leading Democratic presidential contenders John Edwards and Barack Obama at the Sojourners Presidential Forum on Faith, Values, and Poverty<\/em>, Hillary called abortion a “moral issue” and claimed that she wanted “common ground” on abortion. She even told Dr. Joel C. Hunter, senior pastor of Northland Church in Florida, that she wanted abortion to be “rare”:<\/p>\n

And that is what I have tried to both talk about and reach out about over the last many years, going back, really, at least 15 years<\/strong>, in talking about abortion being safe, legal, and rare. And, by rare, I mean rare.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
