It would move Pennsylvania\u2019s current abortion limit up from 24 weeks.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Despite what the procedure entails, abortion advocates <a href=\"\/news\/naral-calls-kansas-abortion-dismemberment-ban-medically-inaccurate\/\">falsely claim<\/a> that \u201cdismemberment abortion\u201d is a \u201cmedically inaccurate\u201d name for dilation and evacuation (D&amp;E) abortions, a procedure commonly used in the second trimester. The National Abortion Federation\u2019s guide on dismemberment abortions <a href=\"\/news\/the-vanishing-baby-from-nafs-dismemberment-abortion-guide\/\">actually removes<\/a> the baby from the diagram, instead depicting forceps entering an empty uterus.<\/p>\n<p>Former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino describes dismemberment abortions in greater detail as part of Live Action News\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\">Abortion Procedures<\/a> project in the following video:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jgw4X7Dw_3k\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As for the 20-week ban, <a href=\"\/news\/how-the-media-promotes-junk-science-on-fetal-pain\/\">science shows<\/a> that preborn babies are capable of feeling pain around this point.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Governor Tom Wolf <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pahomepage.com\/news\/pa-house-passes-abortion-bill\">has threatened<\/a> to veto the bill if the <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Pennsylvania_General_Assembly\">legislature<\/a> sends it to his desk, although it currently has eleven Democrat sponsors in the state Senate. The House vote had 65% of the 66% <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacapitol.com\/Resources\/PDF\/Making-Law-In-PA.pdf\">needed to override<\/a> a veto; the Senate\u2019s 31 Republicans plus the eleven Democrats would be more than enough.<\/p>\n<p>The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation\u2019s legislative director Maria Gallagher <a href=\"http:\/\/paprolife.us\/blog\/2016\/06\/21\/pennsylvania-pro-life-federation-applauds-house-for-passage-of-dismemberment-abortion-ban\/\">cheered<\/a> the news, declaring that \u201cthese common abortions are performed on fully developed, preborn babies at their most vulnerable, and when they should be the safest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PPLF executive director Michael Ciccocioppo added, \u201cMost countries are civilized enough to realize pre-born babies should not be torn apart.
