{"id":96280,"date":"2016-06-17T10:42:07","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T14:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=96280"},"modified":"2016-06-17T10:42:07","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T14:42:07","slug":"university-chapel-in-spain-desecrated-with-free-abortion-graffiti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/university-chapel-in-spain-desecrated-with-free-abortion-graffiti\/","title":{"rendered":"University chapel in Spain desecrated with &#8220;free abortion&#8221; graffiti"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>This week, priest Miguel Fernando Garc\u00eda L\u00f3pez <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelocal.es\/20160615\/madrid-university-chapel-covered-in-pro-abortion-graffiti\">discovered<\/a> that the chapel of Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid (the Autonomous University of Madrid) in Spain had been desecrated with pro-abortion graffiti.<\/p>\n<p>L\u00f3pez came in Wednesday morning to find \u201cfree abortion,\u201d \u201csecular\u201d education, and a transgendered rights symbol scrawled on the walls in red paint, as well as red splotches (possibly representing blood) that \u201ccovered\u201d the walls, pews, statues, confessional, and tabernacle. \u201cFree abortion\u201d was also written on the outside of the chapel, and the lock on the chapel door had been broken.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">As\u00ed ha aparecido esta ma\u00f1ana la capilla de la Universidad Autonoma <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UAM_Madrid\">@UAM_Madrid<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/f7bcO2EVwM\">pic.twitter.com\/f7bcO2EVwM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Marta Pastor (@MartaPastor) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MartaPastor\/status\/743022145261965312\">June 15, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>L\u00f3pez called the police soon after, who have opened an investigation. They found posters believed to have been left by the vandals, but they do not appear to offer leads as to their identities.
