{"id":96019,"date":"2016-06-29T10:22:22","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T14:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=96019"},"modified":"2016-07-09T14:47:08","modified_gmt":"2016-07-09T18:47:08","slug":"abortionist-and-pro-lifers-agree-its-a-baby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortionist-and-pro-lifers-agree-its-a-baby\/","title":{"rendered":"Abortionist and pro-lifers agree: &#8220;It&#8217;s a baby&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>I\u2019ve been in the pro-life movement for a while, and I\u2019ve noticed certain things bother abortion advocates.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining how abortion helps <a href=\"\/news\/strip-clubs-planned-parenthood-help-sex-traffickers\/\">pimps<\/a> and <a href=\"\/news\/10-rapists-planned-parenthood-helped\/\">child rapists<\/a> usually does. Pointing out that <a href=\"\/news\/sex-selection-abortion-gendercide-how-okay\/\">girls are disproportionately aborted<\/a> can too. But the worst? Referring to a fetus as \u201ca baby.\u201d That\u2019s clear from the response to Live Action\u2019s latest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\/\">video project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Live Action has produced videos illustrating four common abortion procedures. They feature medical animations and are narrated by Dr. Anthony Levatino, a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist. In the past, Dr. Levatino performed over 1200 abortions; in the clip below, he looks at a second trimester technique called dilation &amp; evacuation (D&amp;E).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jgw4X7Dw_3k?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After the amniotic fluid is removed, the abortionist uses a sopher clamp \u2014 a grasping instrument with rows of sharp \u201cteeth\u201d \u2014 to grasp and pull the baby\u2019s arms and legs, tearing the limbs from the child\u2019s body.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The abortionist continues to grasp intestines, spine, heart, lungs, and any other limbs or body parts. The most difficult part of the procedure is usually finding, grasping and crushing the baby\u2019s head.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After removing pieces of the child\u2019s skull, the abortionist uses a curette to scrape the uterus and remove the placenta and any remaining parts of the baby.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The videos are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\/d-and-e\/\">AbortionProcedures.com<\/a>, and you can see them on Live Action\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/liveaction\/?fref=nf\">Facebook page<\/a> as well. That\u2019s also where you\u2019ll find comments like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-96831 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Its-a-baby-700x76-altered.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"76\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Its-a-baby-700x76-altered.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Its-a-baby-700x76-altered-300x33.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I understand why abortion supporters prefer calling preborn children \u201cfetuses\u201d instead of \u201cbabies\u201d&#8211; they think it\u2019s dehumanizing. They\u2019re wrong of course: \u201cfetus\u201d just refers to a stage of development, like \u201cadolescent\u201d or \u201cadult.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further, the contention that medical professionals never say \u201cbaby\u201d instead of \u201cfetus\u201d simply isn\u2019t true. After all, the medical director for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, Dr. Savita Ginde, had no problem referring to a fetus as a baby.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-doctor-called-fetus-baby-killed\/\">Right after she aborted him<\/a> (9:00 into the video below).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GWQuZMvcFA8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wV2U9unI1NM\">undercover footage<\/a> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/\">Center for Medical Progress<\/a>, Ginde is shown giving a tour of an abortion facility. At one point, she looks down at an aborted fetus and declares, \u201cit\u2019s a baby.\u201d Later, an assistant jokes how \u201c<a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-baby-parts-scandal-grows-as-new-tape-released\/\">another boy<\/a>\u201d is out on the counter. He&#8217;s in pieces.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, even abortionists like Dr. Ginde can recognize who they&#8217;re killing&#8211;they just don\u2019t care. Another good move? <a href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/\">Tell Congress<\/a> to redirect <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2013\/01\/08\/planned-parenthood-receives-record-amount-taxpayer-support\/\">half a billion<\/a> dollars in funding from Planned Parenthood (America\u2019s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2015\/jan\/1\/planned-parenthood-327k-abortions-fiscal-2014\/\"> largest abortion chain<\/a>) to <a href=\"http:\/\/getyourcare.org\/\">federally qualified health centers<\/a> (FQHCs) and <a href=\"\/news\/new-website-shows-women-have-more-choices-besides-planned-parenthood-for-low-cost-health-care\/\">community health centers<\/a> (CHCs) instead. FQHCs and CHCs are <a href=\"\/news\/need-quality-health-care-pro-lifers-can-help-you-find-it\/\">more accessible<\/a> and have more to offer: <a href=\"\/news\/mammosham-watch-the-viral-video-exposing-planned-parenthood-false-mammogram-claims\/\">unlike Planned Parenthood<\/a>, they perform <a href=\"http:\/\/bphc.hrsa.gov\/uds\/datacenter.aspx?q=tall&amp;year=2014&amp;state\">five hundred thousand<\/a> mammograms every year.<\/p>\n<p>The fact is, pro-lifers and Dr. Ginde have something in common: we both understand children are no less human at one end of the birth canal than at the other. The difference?
