After her daughter&#8217;s birth, she sent <a href=\"http:\/\/parkermyles.com\/2016\/06\/07\/girl-with-down-syndrome-posts-letter-to-doctor-who-wanted-parents-to-abort-her\/\">a letter<\/a>\u00a0to the doctor and shared that letter with the world\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/parkermyles.com\/2016\/06\/07\/girl-with-down-syndrome-posts-letter-to-doctor-who-wanted-parents-to-abort-her\/\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uUP4XggBoN0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the heartfelt letter, Baker told the doctor:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">From that first visit, we dreaded our appointments. In the letter, Baker tells the doctor:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I\u2019m not angry. I\u2019m not bitter. I\u2019m really just sad. I\u2019m sad the tiny beating hearts you see every day don\u2019t fill you with a perpetual awe. I\u2019m sad the intricate details and the miracle of those sweet little fingers and toes, lungs and eyes and ears don\u2019t always give you pause. I\u2019m sad you were so very wrong to say a baby with Down syndrome would decrease our quality of life. And I\u2019m heartbroken you might have said that to a mommy even today. But I\u2019m mostly sad you\u2019ll never have the privilege of knowing my daughter, Emersyn.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Baker goes on to say that Emersyn has given her a purpose and an\u00a0overwhelming sense of joy. They were initially scared after the diagnosis came, but\u00a0Baker told <a href=\"http:\/\/parkermyles.com\/2016\/06\/07\/girl-with-down-syndrome-posts-letter-to-doctor-who-wanted-parents-to-abort-her\/\">ParkerMyles.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The girls both said that at soon as they met her they fell in love. And it was obvious. A lot of healing happened at that moment. We never looked back to the fear and sadness, it\u2019s been onward in the smiles and joy. Rhyan is the calm, quiet, motherly refuge for Emmy. Evynn is the wild, fun, cracking up laughter for her. They are a perfect trio.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What concerns Baker the most is that other mothers are being told they should abort their children with Down syndrome as well. She\u00a0is\u00a0saddened to know that so many doctors refuse to offer hope to parents facing a prenatal diagnosis such as Down syndrome. Photo courtesy of ParkerMyles.com.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Roughly\u00a090\u00a0percent\u00a0of all preborn children diagnosed with Down syndrome are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2014\/07\/30\/90-of-babies-diagnosed-with-down-syndrome-are-aborted-one-abortion-activist-wants-more\/\">killed through abortion<\/a>. They never get to experience the love of their parents, and their parents never get to experience the love of their children. Many of these abortions happen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downsyndromeprenataltesting.com\/neveralone\/\">because of a lack of accurate information<\/a> on life with Down syndrome and a lack of support from doctors, who are often uneducated themselves on varying health conditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/parents-children-share-unexpected-joys-life-down-syndrome\/\">READ: Parents, children share unexpected joys of life with Down syndrome<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood work overtime to stop the pro-life efforts to ban abortion after 20 weeks gestation, because they believe that children like Emersyn shouldn&#8217;t be born. Planned Parenthood even went so far as <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2016\/04\/08\/planned-parenthood-sues-over-down-syndrome-abortion-ban\/\">to sue over a bill<\/a> that banned abortion based on a Down syndrome diagnosis.
