Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity (URGE) does. Last month, the organization brought their <a href=\"\/news\/group-promotes-abortion-as-public-good-on-college-campus-tour\/\">Abortion Positive bus tour<\/a> to 10 college campuses. Rather than \u201csee abortion as a bad word,\u201d URGE thinks it\u2019s \u201ca public good.\u201d They aren\u2019t the only ones.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-87984 size-full\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/racist.jpg\" alt=\"racist\" width=\"500\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/racist.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/racist-300x146.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Black children face the highest risk of being aborted, something <a href=\"http:\/\/www.erasingus.com\/2015\/07\/the-5-types-of-white-cuckservatives.html\">plenty of racists<\/a> are happy about. It isn\u2019t surprising when you look at the way America\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2015\/jan\/1\/planned-parenthood-327k-abortions-fiscal-2014\/\">largest abortion chain<\/a> has targeted them. Using data from the 2010 U.S. census, the group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.protectingblacklife.org\/\">Protecting Black Life<\/a> has created <a href=\"http:\/\/www.protectingblacklife.org\/pp_targets\/\">a map<\/a> showing how Planned Parenthood disproportionately locates its abortion centers in or near minority neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Federal funding for Planned Parenthood <a href=\"\/news\/what-cecile-richards-left-out-in-her-history-lesson-for-republicans\/\">started under<\/a> under President Richard Nixon, a man who favored <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/06\/24\/us\/politics\/24nixon.html?_r=0\">aborting children of mixed race<\/a>\u00a0and cited abortion as a means \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZXap-OtDvVc\">to control the negro bastards<\/a>.\u201d Of course, the tie between Planned Parenthood and racism goes back a lot farther than that.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood\u2019s founder, Margaret Sanger, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/projects\/sanger\/webedition\/app\/documents\/show.php?sangerDoc=304387.xml\">advocated<\/a> \u201crace betterment\u201d through \u201cdrastic immigration laws.\u201d She also spoke at a Ku Klux Klan rally, something she described on page 366 of <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.co.kr\/books?id=HiWoBQAAQBAJ&amp;pg=PA358&amp;lpg=PA358&amp;dq=chapter+29+margaret+sanger&amp;source=bl&amp;ots=1EnXtdBhZL&amp;sig=9nWNFuahaPGJrkBT8-o6tM23E5M&amp;hl=en&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=0CEQQ6AEwB2oVChMIueyO6qbHyAIVhhiUCh0ung98#v=onepage&amp;q=chapter%2029%20margaret%20sanger&amp;f=false\">her autobiography<\/a>. According to Sanger, \u201ca dozen invitations to speak to similar groups\u201d followed.<\/p>\n<p>Given this history, it\u2019s not surprising that the group Sanger founded would be willing to work with bigots. In 2008, undercover footage from Live Action caught Planned Parenthood officials agreeing to take donations from people who said they wanted<a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/the-planned-parenthood-racism-project\/\"> black kids aborted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pgf5m1QoCOU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>But racists aren\u2019t the only ones Planned Parenthood has been okay with. Child sex predators also have an \u201cabortion positive\u201d outlook, and with good reason: in case after case, Planned Parenthood <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-positive-child-rapists\/\">has helped<\/a> keep their crimes hidden and their victims suffering.<\/p>\n<p>Human traffickers don\u2019t think abortion\u2019s as a bad word either. Captain Jeff Williams of the Dallas Department of Public Safety testified before a state legislative hearing that pimps <a href=\"http:\/\/www.house.state.tx.us\/news\/press-releases\/?id=5269\">frequently use<\/a> abortion to exploit their victims. That doesn\u2019t seem to bother some of Planned Parenthood&#8217;s staff.<\/p>\n<p>When Live Action investigators went to a Planned Parenthood center in Perth Amboy, NJ while posing as sex traffickers, it didn\u2019t raise eyebrows. In fact, the facility\u2019s director offered to arrange abortions for teens who \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=riX50sOhAyk\">can\u2019t speak English<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uj2XeLPRjns\">won\u2019t know what\u2019s going on<\/a>.\u201d Staff at <a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/traffick\/\">other locations<\/a> weren\u2019t alarmed either.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L9Zj9yx2j0Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Is the fact that Planned Parenthood helps racists and traffickers shocking? If so, then here\u2019s another shock: you\u2019re helping them too. Every year, Planned Parenthood receives <a href=\"http:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2015\/10\/14\/4-ways-planned-parenthood-has-billed-taxpayers-for-elective-abortions\/\">half a billion<\/a> dollars of your tax money.<\/p>\n<p>While some argue Planned Parenthood fills an essential role, that just isn\u2019t the case. Across the country, <a href=\"http:\/\/getyourcare.org\/\">federally qualified health centers<\/a> (FQHC) and<a href=\"\/news\/new-website-shows-women-have-more-choices-besides-planned-parenthood-for-low-cost-health-care\/\"> community health centers<\/a> (CHCs) are a <a href=\"\/news\/need-quality-health-care-pro-lifers-can-help-you-find-it\/\">more accessible<\/a> care option. They also offer a greater range of services, performing over <a href=\"http:\/\/bphc.hrsa.gov\/uds\/datacenter.aspx?q=tall&amp;year=2014&amp;state\">five hundred thousand<\/a> mammograms annually&#8211;five hundred thousand <a href=\"\/news\/mammosham-watch-the-viral-video-exposing-planned-parenthood-false-mammogram-claims\/\">more<\/a> than Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/\">Tell Congress<\/a> Planned Parenthood\u2019s funding should go to FQHCs and CHCs instead.
