This week, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton confirmed<\/a> that as president, she would have a pro-abortion litmus test for her judicial nominees.<\/p>\n

“I would not appoint someone who didn\u2019t think Roe v. Wade<\/em> is settled law,” the former First Lady, New York Senator, and Secretary of State said during a campaign event in Madison, Wisconsin, identifying Justice Sonia Sotomayor as an example of her ideal jurist.<\/p>\n

Sotomayor won the endorsement<\/a> of NARAL for her support of a constitutional right to abortion when President Barack Obama nominated her in 2009.<\/p>\n

Clinton also blasted Senate Republicans for refusing to consider Obama’s latest Supreme Court nominee, Judge Merrick Garland. Garland has not directly taken a position on abortion, but Live Action News has documented<\/a> several indicators of pro-abortion leanings, including ties to pro-abortion Justice William Brennan and a vote siding with the Obama Administration’s contraception mandate.<\/p>\n
