In 2010, it announced it was reducing its hours following the establishment of a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil outside.<!--more-->The next year, it was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2015\/11\/20\/georgia-abortion-clinics-caught-using-unsterilized-equipment-and-expired-drugs\/\">forced<\/a> to pay a $1,400 fine for 23 health safety violations pertaining to expired medications and unsterilized medical equipment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-88619 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg\" alt=\"levatino-ad-LAN\" width=\"306\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN.jpg 306w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/levatino-ad-LAN-300x221.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pro-life group Augusta Care Pregnancy Center celebrated the news as an answer to 35 years of prayer, announcing, \u201cThousands of pregnant mothers have been wounded, some physically and some mentally. God has answered many prayers of the Augusta people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Live Action News has <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-facilities-are-closing-at-fastest-annual-pace-on-record\/\">reported<\/a>, the news comes in the midst of a recent Bloomberg report indicating that 45 abortion facilities have shut down since 2011, and more than 50 stopped doing abortions for a variety of reasons.<\/p>\n<p>The closure rate has been dubbed the &#8220;fastest annual pace&#8221; on record.
