Planned Parenthood is America\u2019s largest abortion chain<\/a>, performing over three hundred thousand every year. But given some recent comments, you might think they\u2019re running an MMA<\/a> promotion instead.<\/p>\n

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders gave that impression, anyway. He highlighted Planned Parenthood\u2019s martial prowess last month, saying<\/a>, \u201cThey\u2019re standing up and fighting the important fights that have to be fought.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier, Sanders had said<\/a> Planned Parenthood represents \u201cthe \u00a0political establishment,\u201d something the folks there weren\u2019t too pleased with. In response, they tweeted about their willingness to throw down for \u201cwomen\u2019s health.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, I wouldn\u2019t accuse Planned Parenthood of lying (ok, I would<\/a>), but we aren\u2019t getting all the facts here. Because while it\u2019s true that Planned Parenthood is more than willing to \u201cfight like hell,\u201d protecting women isn\u2019t their goal.<\/p>\n

In 2009, staff at the Women\u2019s Medical Society abortion facility\u00a0proved they just weren\u2019t competent to administer medication. How did they prove that? Simple: they killed a woman.<\/p>\n

Bhutanese refugee Karnamaya Mongar<\/a> got a lethal dose of Demerol when she visited them in Philadelphia. The facility\u2019s owner, Kermit Gosnell, was sent to prison<\/a> for her death as well as for the murder of several newborns.<\/p>\n

In addition to employing unqualified staff, Gosnell ran a squalid facility where human remains were often left to rot. And because of the hands-off approach that the state of Pennsylvania took with abortion centers, that wasn\u2019t hard to get away with. According to the subsequent grand jury report<\/a>, even nail salons were subject to more oversight.<\/p>\n

Neighboring Maryland didn’t pay much attention either<\/a>, or at least not until abortionist Steven C. Brigham inflicted serious injuries<\/a> on a patient in 2010. Authorities discovered that Dr. Brigham lacked a medical license and had begun storing fetuses in a freezer.<\/p>\n

Brigham and Gosnell aren\u2019t the only ones with a history of operating this way; legal abortion mills\u00a0have existed for decades<\/a>, and those in the abortion industry know the risks they pose. Last year, the Center for Medical Progress<\/a> released undercover footage of StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer speaking candidly about them:<\/p>\n
