{"id":86893,"date":"2016-02-03T11:46:10","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T16:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=86893"},"modified":"2016-02-03T11:46:10","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T16:46:10","slug":"new-hampshire-pro-choicers-kill-born-alive-protection-de-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/new-hampshire-pro-choicers-kill-born-alive-protection-de-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"New Hampshire pro-choicers kill born alive protection and D&#038;E ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>The New Hampshire House Judiciary Committee has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unionleader.com\/House-committee-votes-down-2-abortion-restriction-bills&amp;source=RSS\">voted down<\/a> a pair of pro-life bills, one which would require abortionists to attempt to resuscitate any newborn that showed signs of life after abortions, and another to prohibit the dilation and evacuation procedure.<\/p>\n<p>D&amp;E abortions, commonly used in the second trimester of pregnancy, are also known as dismemberment abortions because they entail <a href=\"\/news\/naral-calls-kansas-abortion-dismemberment-ban-medically-inaccurate\/\">pulling the preborn baby apart limb by limb<\/a> in the womb. Bill proponents called the method horrific.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Republican State Rep. Kurt Wuelper also said that the born-alive bill was necessary because &#8220;There should be a reasonable way to have some amount of protection for those who survive the sentence of abortion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, abortion supporters condemned both bills as unjustified intrusions into the professional judgment of physicians &#8212; &#8220;legislating medical procedures,&#8221; in Republican State Rep.
