In a head-scratching\u00a0piece<\/a> at the Huffington Post, Miranda Blue attempts to paint\u00a0The Center for Medical Progress’s David Daleiden, the man behind\u00a0the undercover video project<\/a>\u00a0investigating Planned Parenthood’s fetal parts business, as a ‘radical’ in the pro-life movement.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

While Blue could have focused more on the March for Life as a whole, instead, she chose to focus in David Daleiden, whom she says “connects” several aspects of the pro-life movement. Blue also attempts\u00a0to tie Daleiden to what she calls the “rescue” movement – a term that hasn’t been used in pro-life circles for quite some time.<\/p>\n

While Daleiden\u00a0is certainly a pro-life figure receiving much attention from friend and foe alike, he is not necessarily more radical than others in the pro-life movement. That’s now how Blue sees it, however:<\/p>\n

The central role of Daleiden in this week\u2019s events reflects the extent to which his project, which stemmed from one of the most radical strands of the anti-choice movement, has brought radical protest groups back to prominence and shifted the strategy and priorities of the more \u201cmainstream\u201d parts of the movement.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Blue gives little\u00a0insight about what constitutes “the most radical strands of the anti-choice movement.” She does, however,\u00a0claim that\u00a0 the “rescue” movement is at the root of all this:<\/p>\n

\n

This renewed focus on Planned Parenthood has helped to elevate the rescue movement, which Daleiden\u2019s project grew out of. Two of Daleiden\u2019s closest advisors, Operation Rescue\u2019s Troy Newman and Life Dynamics\u2019 Mark Crutcher, helped to pioneer the strategy of cutting down access to abortion by making life miserable for abortion providers and patients. Crutcher has specialized in doing this through \u201csting\u201d operations, including one that Daleiden\u2019s was modeled after, and now hopes to train and \u201cunleash a whole army of David Daleidens\u201d on abortion providers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As much as Blue and other abortion supporters would like to have more evidence against pro-life figures like\u00a0Daleiden, they don’t. And\u00a0as much as they’d like to blame\u00a0Daleiden and the pro-life movement for the shooting at a Colorado Planned Parenthood\u00a0perpetrated by\u00a0a deranged man<\/a>\u00a0unaffiliated\u00a0with any pro-life group, Robert Lewis Dear proved by his actions that he is not pro-life.<\/p>\n

Blue, of course, takes the opportunity to defend Planned Parenthood in her piece, making the oft-repeated and tiring point that Planned Parenthood is not allowed to use taxpayer dollars for abortions\u00a0– as if that’s the only reason to be in favor of defunding a scandal ridden ‘non-profit,’ which is the nation’s largest abortion provider. Undercover video stings<\/a>\u00a0from long before Daleiden’s have demonstrated\u00a0that the abortion giant not only circumvents the law, but considers itself to be above the law.<\/p>\n

And while Planned Parenthood gets off unscathed\u00a0in the piece,\u00a0somehow the March for Life\u00a0is tarnished\u00a0by the actions of so-called radical Daleiden, according to Blue.<\/p>\n

Nice try, but pro-lifers are proud of the work Daleiden has done, and likely won’t be taking advice from the pro-abortion<\/a> Huffington Post.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
