Pro-lifers on both coasts were greeted\u00a0by\u00a0angry abortion rights protesters last Friday.\u00a0At the March for Life in Washington, D.C., the Walk for Life in San Francisco, California, and in other places around the nation,\u00a0pro-lifers not only outnumbered their abortion opposition but displayed the striking difference between the culture of life and the culture of death.<\/p>\n

\"Stop<\/p>\n

In D.C., the self-proclaimed radical communist pro-abortion group Stop Patriarchy had threatened<\/a> to disrupt the March for Life<\/a> and sure enough,\u00a0they tried<\/a>. With their faux die-ins and bloody garb, they chanted<\/a>,\u00a0“Pro-life, your name’s a lie, you don’t care if women die!” while pro-lifers responded, “We are the pro-life generation!”<\/p>\n

The group – considered extreme<\/a> even by most mainstream abortion rights groups – mocked pro-lifers, claiming that preborn children are\u00a0not human beings. They uploaded video of a\u00a0song in which\u00a0they claimed<\/a>, “There is nooo God, no Heaven and no hell…” and sang<\/a>, “a baby’s not a baby till it comes out.”<\/p>\n

While the March for Life was happening, Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, founder of\u00a0New Wave Feminists<\/a>\u00a0(left) posted a photo she took during the March of herself\u00a0standing next to\u00a0Sunsara Taylor (right; the one leading the “There is no God” song), founder of Stop Patriarchy:<\/p>\n

Herndon-De La Rosa\u00a0told Live Action News that New Wave Feminists, along with Students for Life, arrived in front of the Supreme Court about 20 minutes before the rest of the marchers. Stop Patriarchy was already stationed at the Supreme Court, as they were last year<\/a>, to try and stop the March. But according to Herndon-De La Rosa, marchers always stop there anyway.\u00a0She\u00a0then detailed what happened\u00a0next:<\/p>\n

\n

We were just smiling and laughing and we had a lot of joy and it seemed to make them angry.\u00a0At the end of the day we know they are hurting. It breaks my heart. Women do not make the decision to have an abortion because it empowers them but out of fear, panic, and coercion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The pro-life feminist leader said she felt a lot of common ground with Stop Patriarchy in that “we are also against porn and the sexual exploitation of women and we actually agree with Stop Patriarchy on this. When we agreed with them and repeated<\/a> some of their chants with them, I think it caught them off guard.”<\/p>\n

Herndon-De La Rosa said that the confrontation between the groups of students and women was not what the media typically sees:<\/p>\n

Rather than there being Priests and men, there were women and students at the front of the line when Stop Patriarchy tried to confront the marchers.<\/p>\n

The media wants to make this narrative that its all about men dominating women and we messed that up. At the Supreme Court, we were able to hijack that narrative – this transcends women’s rights and its about human rights. Finally, women from both sides are having a dialogue.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

New Wave Feminists felt compassion for the abortion supporters. “We saw pain. We saw regret. We saw real sadness like most of us have never felt… and it manifested as anger,” Herndon-De La Rosa\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

After the confrontation, largest pro-life student group Students for Life posed some interesting questions to the small pro-abortion group on their blog<\/a>,\u00a0asking them the following:<\/p>\n
