I authored the <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/27\/after-planned-parenthood-attacks-this-pro-life-mom-and-state-rep-lost-her-seat-serving-north-dakota\/\">Human Heartbeat Protection Act<\/a>, which two court rulings have challenged; the North Dakota law is now being appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>The Heartbeat bill is very simple: everyone understands that a beating heart means life. Everyone accepts a heartbeat as the sign of life, and each baby\u2019s heartbeat is compelling testimony from the womb.<\/p>\n<p>Even Planned Parenthood sees the value in a heart; as <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/15\/planned-parenthood-announces-policy-change-after-decline-in-public-opinion-abortion-provider-continues-to-deny-humanity-of-unborn\/\">recent videos expos\u00e9s revealed<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/human-capital\/document-vault\/\">going rate<\/a> for an aborted baby\u2019s heart is about $600\u2014let that sink in: <em><i>$600<\/i><\/em>. Such unethical destruction of life should wake us up.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Technology now enables us <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/\">to see into the womb<\/a>, watching a baby\u2019s development from conception to birth. Considering medical advances of the past 40 years, it is time for a debate about what protections are due to the most defenseless members of humanity. We must talk openly about the deception and lies that the pro-abortion community has been <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/18\/i-regret-my-abortion-a-woman-betrayed-by-planned-parenthood-speaks-out\/\">telling women<\/a> for more than four decades.<\/p>\n<p>We must let women grieve the death of their unborn children, allowing forgiveness and healing to flow. Many women, like <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/20\/watch-5-revelations-you-missed-in-the-most-recent-5-hour-planned-parenthood-hearing\/\">Luana Stoltenberg<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/dailysignal.com\/2015\/10\/13\/she-worked-at-planned-parenthood-for-17-years-why-she-ultimately-quit\/\">Sue Thayer<\/a>, have come forward to explain the pain and suffering they have experienced post-abortion. The judges of the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals <a href=\"http:\/\/media.ca8.uscourts.gov\/opndir\/15\/07\/142128P.pdf\">cited<\/a> these women\u2019s very compelling testimonies in their opinion.<\/p>\n<p>It is time to address that the <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/blog\/2015\/09\/21\/5-surprising-insights-on-the-pain-capable-bill-from-a-nurse-a-senator-and-leading-pro-life-voices\/\">unborn child feels pain<\/a> and suffers during an abortion. Throughout the time we worked on the Heartbeat bill, pro-life legislators heard from mothers who chose not to have an abortion because they <a href=\"\/news\/what-to-do-if-your-boyfriend-wants-you-to-get-an-abortion\/\">heard their baby\u2019s heartbeat<\/a>\u2014or <a href=\"\/news\/woman-left-abortion-clinic-i-saw-little-arms-little-legs-head\/\">saw an ultrasound of the baby<\/a> and learned there was a beating heart.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/news\/5-incredible-posters-that-show-why-abortion-is-wrong\/human-embyro-heartbeat\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-60606\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60606\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/human-embyro-heartbeat.jpg\" alt=\"human-embyro-heartbeat\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/human-embyro-heartbeat.jpg 480w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/human-embyro-heartbeat-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/human-embyro-heartbeat-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a>Public prayers through <a href=\"https:\/\/40daysforlife.com\/start-a-campaign\/\">40 Days for Life campaigns<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/bound4life.com\/start-a-chapter\/\">Bound4LIFE chapters<\/a> are awakening people to the cause of life. These vigilant ones bear witness to the worth of each life, causing more women to consider: is abortion just a \u201cchoice\u201d? Is a &#8220;right to privacy\u201d more precious than a life in the womb?<\/p>\n<p>We face a critical time to stay the course. We must continue in prayer and petition to Father God. We must educate the public in every way we can, to give every child the opportunity to live. We must do all we can to support pregnancy care centers, right on the front lines every day saving mothers and babies.<\/p>\n<p>The rhythm of a heartbeat, its constant life-giving pace, is a reminder to each of us: what have I done lately?
