Operation Rescue has launched their inaugural Veritas Award. Named after the Latin word for truth, the award will be given each year to “an abortion supporter whose words or actions are so powerfully truthful about the reality and barbarity of abortion that they advance the pro-life cause.” And their first ever recipient is none other than Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Deborah Nucatola<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Operation Rescue President Troy Newman explained why they decided to create the award, saying, \u201cFor abortionists, there are two ways to speak about abortion. First is the scripted \u2018Orwellian\u2019 rhetoric that sanitizes abortion, which is used to influence public support. Then there is the unvarnished truth spoken in unguarded moments without public relations in mind. When abortionists speak about their work candidly and truthfully, they actually prove in the most powerful ways why abortion cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.\u201d<\/p>\n

So obviously, Nucatola is a great choice for the first annual Veritas Award. The Planned Parenthood director shot to notoriety last year, when she was caught on camera describing how she selectively crushes\u00a0babies’ organs during abortions so they can be harvested and sold<\/a>. She was featured in the first video released by the Center for Medical Progress.<\/p>\n

In the video, Nucatola casually discusses, over lunch, how she modifies abortion procedures\u00a0to\u00a0make sure the requested body parts can be harvested:<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I\u2019m not gonna crush that part, I\u2019m gonna basically crush below, I\u2019m gonna crush above, and I\u2019m gonna see if I can get it all intact.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Selling the body parts of aborted babies is, of course, illegal. And this first video set off a firestorm that had Planned Parenthood in panic mode for the rest of the year. The sight of Nucatola casually chomping on salad and drinking wine as she discussed the best way to crush and dismember preborn babies was horrifying to Americans. She spoke openly about the grisly practice, and it revealed the horrors of the abortion industry in a way that had never been seen before.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Dr. Nucatola, more people than ever can no longer see Planned Parenthood as anything other than what it is: an evil organization that preys on women and murders preborn children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
