Abortion facilities\u00a0have a long and shameful history of lying to abortion-minded women about the development of their preborn babies.<\/p>\n

One post-abortive woman identified as Sue recalls:<\/p>\n

\n

The doctor said: \u201cDon\u2019t worry, it\u2019s not formed till after 12 weeks.\u201d Then I saw the\u00a0Human Body program [on the ABC]. I would not have gone ahead if I\u2019d been told the truth about the formation of the baby.\u201d(1)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

Below is a picture of an ultrasound of a preborn baby at just 10 weeks in the womb.<\/p>\n

Another woman was told that her baby at 3 months was \u201cjust a clump of cells.\u201d When she found out the truth, it inspired her to do an experiment:<\/p>\n

When I saw that a 3-month-old \u201cclump of cells\u201d had fingers and toes and was a tiny, perfectly formed baby, I became really hysterical.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been lied to and misled, and I\u2019m sure thousands of other women are being just as poorly informed and badly served. To prove it, John [her husband] and I visited most every clinic in Cleveland. I pretended I was pregnant and asked for guidance.<\/p>\n

What we heard was incredible. One counselor told us the fetus did not begin to resemble a human being until 7 months, another said 5 months, and so it went. (2)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then LA Times also ran an article where a reporter visiting\u00a0an abortion facility actually caught a \u201ccounselor\u201d lying to a woman. The article quoted the facility\u00a0worker\u00a0saying to a woman who\u00a0was 5 weeks pregnant:<\/p>\n

\u00a0It\u2019s completely formed about nine weeks.\u00a0Yours is more like a chicken yolk.*(3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At 5 weeks, a preborn baby’s heart is beating. You can see a video capturing it here<\/a> in a baby that is only 4 \u00bd weeks old.<\/p>\n

The 5-week baby has the beginning of limbs<\/a>, a brain that is divided into 2 hemispheres<\/a>, and a circulatory system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While a 5 week\u2013old preborn baby still has a lot of development, he or she is definitely not \u201ca chicken yolk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another observer at an abortion facility, Peter Korn, caught\u00a0the following conversation between an abortion facility\u00a0worker and a woman named Peggy, who was ambivalent about getting an abortion. Peggy asks:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIs it true that at six weeks it has a heartbeat?\u201d<\/p>\n

[The counselor] says nobody is sure exactly when the heart begins beating, and tries to deflect that concern. (4)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In reality, the fact that a fetal heart starts beating roughly 3 weeks after conception has been established\u00a0science since 1961.<\/a>\u00a0There is no disagreement in the medical community as to when the baby\u2019s heart starts beating.<\/p>\n

Former abortion facility\u00a0workers have also admitted lying to women. For example, Kathie Sparks said:<\/p>\n

\n

Sometimes we lied. A girl might ask what her baby was like at a certain point in the pregnancy: Was it a baby yet? Even as early as 12 weeks a baby is totally formed, he has fingerprints, turns his head\u2026 But we would say \u2018It\u2019s not a baby yet. It\u2019s just tissue, like a clot. (5)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Abortionist Alberto Hodari, in a speech at Wayne University, claimed that abortionists had \u201ca license to lie\u201d to patients. Students for Life has a recording (Hodari begins talking about lying at about 1:17):<\/p>\n

Live Action also has examples of\u00a0clinic workers and abortionists lying in undercover videos. In these 3 videos, clinic workers give blatantly false information to women posing as pregnant patients trying to decide whether to have an abortion:<\/p>\n
