This report surveys all of the Planned Parenthood facilities in the nation. STOPP looks at the number of abortion facilities Planned Parenthood operates, and how many of those facilities do either medication or surgical abortions. It also reports the salaries of both national and local affiliate CEOs, and by the looks of it, it seems Planned Parenthood leaders are rich and getting richer.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Salaries of the twelve national leaders at Planned Parenthood Federation of America are most striking. Their combined salaries total $4,144,055, making the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopp.org\/pdfs\/2015\/STOPP_AffiliatesCEOs2015.pdf\">average PPFA salary<\/a>\u00a0$345,338.<\/p>\n<p>Topping the list is CEO Cecile Richards, who made $590,928 last year. STOPP reports that her salary has\u00a0 increased 40 percent since 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopp.org\/pdfs\/2015\/STOPP_AffiliatesCEOs2015.pdf\">salary report<\/a> on the top 12 PPFA leaders is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/news\/?attachment_id=82821\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82821\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-82821 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2015-12-16-at-10.50.20-PM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-12-16 at 10.50.20 PM\" width=\"1392\" height=\"834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2015-12-16-at-10.50.20-PM.png 1392w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2015-12-16-at-10.50.20-PM-300x180.png 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2015-12-16-at-10.50.20-PM-768x460.png 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2015-12-16-at-10.50.20-PM-700x419.png 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1392px) 100vw, 1392px\" \/><\/a>And local affiliate leaders are not that far behind in their income. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopp.org\/pdfs\/2015\/STOPP_AffiliatesCEOs2015.pdf\">STOPP reports<\/a> that the combined income of the 62 affiliate leaders totaled $11,536,408 in 2013. The average salary of an affiliate Planned Parenthood CEO is $186,071 annually. While some affiliate leaders are in smaller regions and don&#8217;t make exorbitant amounts, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopp.org\/pdfs\/2015\/STOPP_AffiliatesCEOs2015.pdf\">STOPP reports<\/a> that in the 2013 reporting year,\u00a0 23 (37 percent) made over $200,000, while eight (13 percent) made over $300,000. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.planyourlegacy.org\/attorney.php\" target=\"_blank\">its own site<\/a>, &#8220;Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., is recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation by the Internal Revenue Service.&#8221; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/Charities-&amp;-Non-Profits\/Charitable-Organizations\/Exemption-Requirements-Section-501%28c%29%283%29-Organizations\">IRS says<\/a> that this status means:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The organization must not be organized or operated for the benefit of <a id=\"anch_42\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/Charities-&amp;-Non-Profits\/Charitable-Organizations\/Inurement-Private-Benefit-Charitable-Organizations\">private interests<\/a>, and no part of a section 501(c)(3) organization&#8217;s net earnings may inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. If the organization engages in an <a id=\"anch_43\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/Charities-&amp;-Non-Profits\/Charitable-Organizations\/Intermediate-Sanctions-Excess-Benefit-Transactions\">excess benefit transaction<\/a> with a person having substantial influence over the organization, an <a id=\"anch_44\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/Charities-&amp;-Non-Profits\/Charitable-Organizations\/Intermediate-Sanctions\">excise tax<\/a> may be imposed on the person and any organization managers agreeing to the transaction.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The question that must be raised by these numbers is how Planned Parenthood can continue to qualify as a nonprofit when it&#8217;s clear that there is obvious personal benefit financially to those doing this work. As this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/cmp\/investigative-footage\/\">undercover videos reveal,<\/a> the abortion giant is\u00a0making a profit, in part\u00a0from\u00a0selling\u00a0body parts from aborted children, and in part from being funded by the taxpayers of this nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, the annual survey from the American Life League\u2019s STOPP International program was released.
