Amanda Patton, a blogger and abortion industry worker whom I’ve\u00a0mentioned previously<\/a>, designs t-shirts featuring her pet cat. Bearing\u00a0a slogan that\u00a0many would consider\u00a0highly inappropriate,\u00a0the shirts help pay for pro-abortion advertising. \u201cCats,\u201d she contends, \u201care just naturally pro-choice because they do not care what women do with their bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

I have to say, I\u2019m a little skeptical\u00a0about cats\u00a0embracing pro-abortion politics. Maybe that\u2019s because Patton doesn\u2019t cite any polling data to support the idea. Or maybe it\u2019s because\u00a0they\u2019re cats.<\/p>\n

Feline\u00a0beliefs aren\u2019t Ms. Patton\u2019s only area of concern, though. She also uses her blog to document the \u201chate speech\u201d that pro-lifers spread near her abortion facility. Some of\u00a0that comes in the form of \u201ccruel,\u201d \u201cshameful\u201d messages like the one pictured below…<\/p>\n

However, Patton says it\u2019s not all baby blue letters and pink hearts.\u00a0According to her<\/a>, a pro-life demonstrator was heard wishing for “more white babies” – a sentiment she calls “white supremacist” and says she’s “disgusted” by.\u00a0Now, I wasn\u2019t there, so I didn\u2019t hear what the demonstrator actually said. However, I\u00a0have\u00a0<\/i>heard\u00a0how some in the abortion industry respond to calls for fewer black babies.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood is America\u2019s largest abortion chain<\/a>, ending over three hundred thousand young lives annually. Many<\/a> are black and Latino, which isn\u2019t surprising given that Planned Parenthood puts a disproportionate share of its abortion clinics close to<\/a> minority neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

You might think the group would worry about appearing to target children of color, but that doesn\u2019t seem to be the case. In fact, when people offered to donate money so \u201ca black baby\u201d would get aborted, Planned Parenthood\u2019s representatives were happy to help make it happen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood of Idaho\u2019s Director of Development, Autumn Kersey, was contacted by a man who said he had \u201ctrouble with affirmative action\u201d and figured \u201cthe less black kids out there the better.\u201d Kersey called those feelings \u201cunderstandable\u201d and was \u201cexcited\u201d about taking his money. Calls to other Planned Parenthood facilities yielded similar results.<\/p>\n
