In a horrifying tragedy in the Bronx, a woman murdered a pregnant woman, then carved the baby from the mother’s womb. The story made headlines that sounded like a soap opera: Deranged woman who said she was pregnant kills another woman and steals her baby to pass off as her own.<\/p>\n

A baby girl, only a few minutes old, swaddled in a blanket or clothes, was breathing on the hood of a car in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. Inside a two-family home nearby, her 22-year-old mother lay on the floor in a pool of blood, fatally stabbed several times in her torso and neck, the authorities said…. A local New York City councilman, Andy King, who said he had been briefed by investigators, told reporters at the scene that the baby had been cut from the pregnant woman, though he could not say definitively who had done it. He said the baby was in good condition at Montefiore Medical Center on Friday night.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What is notable beyond the horrific crime is that the baby is consistently called a ‘baby.’ While the woman was due in early December, the fact is, in some places, the abortion of this baby would have been\u00a0legal. In this case, the baby was instantly revealed to be the same living person outside the womb as she was inside the womb. Councilman King said:<\/a><\/p>\n

That\u2019s what is being said early on, that it could be baby snatching. He added, \u201cNo one imagines this \u2014 to see a young lady unconscious on the floor, and a perpetrator claiming the baby was hers, and a boyfriend at a loss.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It’s a commentary on our\u00a0current culture that this case presents the reality of murder being a choice. Because the mother wanted<\/em> the baby, the killer is accused of “baby snatching.” But if that same mother had paid Planned Parenthood – whose\u00a0officials admit to delivering live babies when harvesting their parts<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0to “snatch” her baby from her womb, there would be no charges because the aborted baby wasn’t wanted – it’s called ‘choice.’\u00a0\u00a0Unlike the case in the Bronx, Planned Parenthood doesn’t want the whole baby, only the sum of its parts. So the “snatched” baby dies.<\/p>\n

This case, horrific as it is, removes a veil of life and death. That ‘baby bump’ holds an actual, living\u00a0baby, one that can even be cut from the womb and survive. How much more can babies who are being dismembered or sucked from a womb to die\u00a0comprehend the pain and agony of abortion procedures? But instead of taking these babies to the hospital like the baby in the Bronx, they are, instead, taken to the pie pan and then to the medical waste disposal bin.<\/p>\n
