Yet, Hulu had no problem airing ads sponsored by the abortion giant itself.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The two 15-second animated commercials created by Students for Life direct women to a government database of local healthcare centers which<em> doesn\u2019t <\/em>include Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"video-filter video-youtube video-center vf-s3wrkrjdsgc\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S3WRKRJdSgc?rel=1&amp;autoplay=0&amp;wmode=opaque\" width=\"676\" height=\"405\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to the grassroots pro-life group, a Hulu account executive declared that the company refuses \u201cads that surround issues like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are certain types of advertisers we do not accept on Hulu: guns, gambling, marijuana, and pro-life\/pro-choice,\u201d the executive wrote in an email. \u201cAs mentioned, this is decided on by senior leadership here at Hulu who make the decisions regarding our ad standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the ad goes against Hulu\u2019s policy. Or does it?<\/p>\n<p>According to Students for life, Hulu has aired at least <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7YEXIi6KOBU\">one ad<\/a> by Planned Parenthood in the past. Planned Parenthood, the nation\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/melanie-hunter\/planned-parenthood-we-did-327653-abortions-one-year\">largest<\/a> abortion provider, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/penny-starr\/planned-parenthood-each-single-adoption-referral-1742-abortions-performed\">performs<\/a> 174 abortions for every adoption referral.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"video-filter video-youtube video-center vf-7yexii6kobu\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7YEXIi6KOBU?rel=1&amp;autoplay=0&amp;wmode=opaque\" width=\"676\" height=\"405\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Hulu is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/envelope\/cotown\/la-et-ct-fox-ceo-james-murdoch-touts-hulu-20151104-story.html\">owned by<\/a> 21st Century Fox along with Walt Disney Co. and NBC Universal. Ironically, Comcast, which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/comcast-role-in-aborted-hulu-sale-raises-questions-for-regulators-1429660758\">owns<\/a> NBC Universal, has agreed to air the ads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ads were designed to be non-controversial yet reach women who may need to see it the most,\u201d said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life, in a press release. \u201cThe only reason Hulu would find this controversial is because Planned Parenthood is currently caught in the middle of a damning scandal, where high-level officials were seen on video discussing the harvesting and sale of baby body parts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-blog_body-100\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.newsbusters.org\/styles\/blog_body-100\/s3\/images\/preg.jpg?itok=1nwQZeQG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hulu, she stressed, is repressing women\u2019s choices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe simply produced these ads to show women that there are federally-funded non-biased options for care.
