Dr. Dennis Sullivan, director of the\u00a0Center for Bioethics<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Cedarville\u00a0University, has\u00a0shared\u00a0his observations regarding the most recent undercover Planned Parenthood video<\/a>,\u00a0calling out the\u00a0\u201ccallousness and indifference\u201d of the abortionists,\u00a0and declaring that he’s faced with the \u201cunavoidable conclusion\u201d that some fetuses might be \u201cborn alive.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The 11th video,\u00a0released this week by the Center for Medical Progress, seems to indicate that Dr.\u00a0Amna\u00a0Dermish is actually admitting to performing an illegal abortion procedure. Dermish claims she was trained<\/a> by Senior Director of Medical Services at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Dr. Deborah Nucatola<\/a>, who was caught on tape<\/a> describing how she “crushes” babies in various spots to enable the harvesting of intact organs.<\/p>\n

In the video, Dermish describes how she will sometimes turn a baby breech – to\u00a0be delivered feet-first – during an abortion.<\/div>\n

\u201cI can if I need to. […] I don\u2019t usually do it in the 16 to 18 weeks,\u201d she explained. \u201cWith a further gestation I will sometimes do that if it\u2019s a cephalic presentation [head-first], just because it\u2019s easier to get.\u201d<\/div>\n

Sullivan explained that this technique Dermish is discussing\u00a0is a standard part of the\u00a0illegal procedure commonly known as partial-birth abortion.<\/div>\n

\u201cThis allows delivery of the still-alive fetus without much dilation of the woman\u2019s cervix,\u201d he explained. \u201cTypically, then, in a\u00a0[partial-birth]\u00a0abortion, scissors are inserted into the back of the skull and suction used to evacuate the brain, thus collapsing the skull, and making it easy to deliver the head without further dilation.\u201d<\/p>\n
