The following is from Planned Parenthood\u2019s new campaign, \u201cWomen are Watching,\u201d which essentially calls on citizens to vote for pro-abortion candidates in upcoming elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlanned Parenthood believes every woman should have access to the full range of repro\"\"<\/a>ductive health care services, including access to safe abortion care.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If Planned Parenthood is truly concerned that women should have access to a \u201cfull range\u201d of services regarding their reproductive health, why is it that only 8% of their facilities provide prenatal care, compared to the nearly 40% that perform abortions<\/a>?\u00a0 How is this living up to the \u201cparenthood\u201d aspect of their name in any way?<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026[W]omen facing an unintended pregnancy must have access to safe, legal abortion care.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Naturally, Planned Parenthood perpetuates their abortion-first mentality. Women facing unintended pregnancies must have access to life-affirming assistance if it is needed so they don\u2019t feel the pressure to succumb to an abortion, but considering over one-third of Planned Parenthood\u2019s clinic revenue comes from abortion<\/a>, and nearly fifteen percent of their overall billion-dollar annual revenue is from the procedure<\/a>, it makes sense they\u2019d jump straight to promoting the most lucrative aspect of their business first.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeciding whether to end a pregnancy is a personal and private decision, and should be made by a woman in consultation with her family and doctor \u2014 not by politicians.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This argument holds as much ground as \u201cdeciding whether to rape women is a personal and private decision.\u201d\u00a0 No one has the right to take the life of an innocent human being.\u00a0 Period.\u00a0 It\u2019s simple, actually: science proves that a human being\u2019s life begins at conception<\/a>.\u00a0 Abortion is the deliberate act of killing a human being.\u00a0 Therefore, it shouldn\u2019t be tolerated, even if Planned Parenthood\u00a0says it’s \u201cpersonal and private.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Some of the unprecedented attacks on women\u2019s access to safe abortion care include:<\/p>\n

Mandatory ultrasounds before women can get an abortion\u2014 even on victims of rape. Some policies additionally require physicians to force a woman to view the ultrasound, and deliver politically motivated statements to the woman, even if she declines to view or listen to them.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Heaven forbid a woman has all the facts regarding what abortion will do to that \u201cclump of cells\u201d within her body.\u00a0 No one objects to showing patients x-rays of their teeth before a wisdom tooth removal.\u00a0 No one objects to showing patients photos of their broken bones before corrective surgery is performed.\u00a0 Why is the abortion industry so adamantly against showing a woman a photo of what will be removed from her womb during an abortion?\u00a0 Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that women will realize the \u201cblob of tissue\u201d in their uterus is actually a living, growing human being\u2014and they\u2019ll be more inclined to choose life for their baby instead, and Planned Parenthood will lose money.<\/p>\n

\u201cMandatory waiting periods of up to 72 hours prior to an abortion, after a woman\u2019s initial consultation with her doctor and a requirement to attend biased counseling from an unlicensed, unaccredited, and unregulated \u201ccrisis pregnancy center.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Planned<\/a>The majority of women feel pressured, forced, or coerced<\/a> into aborting.\u00a0 Most also felt rushed<\/a> to make a decision.\u00a0 The 72 hour window between receiving abortion consultation and the procedure itself gives women just that much longer to really think about and consider what they are planning to undergo.\u00a0 The information women receive from pregnancy resources regard free assistance and alternatives to abortion (like material items, financial help, parenting classes, and legal aid) and information about her developing baby.\u00a0 Of course Planned Parenthood wants to keep women away from these resource centers.\u00a0 When women feel they truly have other options, they tend to choose life over abortion.<\/p>\n

\u201cBanning private insurance coverage of abortion care, and in turn taking away the comprehensive insurance coverage most women currently have.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cAbortion care.\u201d\u00a0 Just another way that Planned Parenthood tries to sugar-coat the reprehensible operation that tears a defenseless child to pieces and brutally sucks him or her out of a mother\u2019s womb.\u00a0 No act of killing should be funded in any way, shape or form.\u00a0 Insurance policies should be upheld to improve and protect life, not end it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccess to abortion care is essential women\u2019s health care \u2013 constitutionally protected, and consistently supported by a majority of Americans; yet anti-choice policymakers have made it increasingly hard for women to access needed care.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, which was founded as a division of Planned Parenthood said that 93% of abortions are performed for social reasons<\/a>\u2014having a child is an inconvenience, or a woman doesn\u2019t feel ready for a child.\u00a0 Rarely is it about a health problem, so abortion is in no way \u201cessential\u201d to health care.\u00a0 Nor is it at all constitutionally protected\u2014 in legalizing abortion, the Supreme Court \u201csimply fashions and announces a new constitutional right for pregnant mothers\u201d to kill their children and that the right to abortion was found in the \u201cpenumbras\u201d (the \u201cshadows\u201d) of the Constitution.\u00a0 In other words, the so-called right to abortion is not a constitutional right<\/a>, and it is certainly not supported by the majority of Americans.\u00a0 Just the opposite, actually<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood can come up with these colorful campaigns to try and distort the majority of Americans\u2019 views on abortion.\u00a0 Although they claim \u201cwomen are watching,\u201d it would behoove them to realize that America is watching, and I don\u2019t think they like what they\u2019re seeing.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
