A few years ago, comedian Sarah Silverman\u00a0claimed to summarize<\/a> the pro-life message: \u201cYou\u2019re on your own, slut.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a rather odd assessment. After all, if anyone\u2019s fond of using the word \u201cslut,\u201d it\u2019s abortion fans. Pro-abortion author Tucker Max brags about<\/a> \u201cthe slutty nature of some of the girls\u201d he’s been with. Committed \u201cbro-choicer\u201d Christian McQueen\u00a0wrote \u201cThe 10 Slut Commandments<\/a>,\u201d a guide on how to \u201cexploit, turn out and next\u201d women with \u201clow self-esteem\u201d and \u201cdaddy issues.\u201d Commandment number four offers this bit of wisdom…<\/p>\n

The idea of pro-lifers\u00a0abandoning women is also a little curious. Pro-life websites like Option Line<\/a> help connect\u00a0them with pregnancy care centers\u00a0–\u00a0places where expectant moms can get assistance. One of the largest care center networks is called Care-Net<\/a>, with facilities that offer free pregnancy tests, pregnancy information, and material support. Some locations are also equipped to provide testing for sexually transmitted infections, ultrasounds for pregnancy confirmation, and consultations with licensed medical professionals.<\/p>\n

In contrast, there have been many instances in which the abortion industry has been considerably less supportive. That was Denise Fairbank\u2019s experience: she was brought to a Planned Parenthood clinic by her abusive father after he\u2019d impregnated her. Fairbanks later recounted in a lawsuit<\/a> how she informed clinic staff and asked for help. The response? They performed an abortion and sent her back home.<\/p>\n

Her father wasn\u2019t unique, as the abortion industry also helped\u00a0Timothy Smith<\/a>, Gary Cross<\/a>, John Blanks, Jr.<\/a>, Adam Gault<\/a>, Joseph Coles<\/a>, Kevon Walker<\/a>, John F. Szorady<\/a>, Tyler Kost<\/a>, Edgar Ramirez<\/a>, and dozens of other<\/a>\u00a0sexual predators stay out of jail\u00a0too. But as some newly released footage proves, that\u2019s not the only time the \u201cyou\u2019re on your own\u201d attitude can crop up.<\/p>\n

Last year, members of the Center for Medical Progress<\/a>\u00a0(CMP) attended a National Abortion Federation\u00a0conference with\u00a0hidden cameras.\u00a0While federal\u00a0court prohibited CMP from releasing the footage,\u00a0it was recently leaked<\/a>\u00a0by a Capitol Hill staffer to Got News<\/a>. Speakers addressed a range of topics,\u00a0including what to do with the bodies of aborted children.<\/p>\n

It turns out this is a tricky problem. While it\u2019s true that Planned Parenthood had a lucrative habit<\/a> of supplying fetal organs to researchers, not all body parts are in demand. Further, funeral homes and crematoriums can be reluctant to get involved. When faced with this challenge, Renee Chelian<\/a> used a novel solution:\u00a0her garbage disposal.<\/p>\n

Chelian is the founder of Northland Family Planning<\/a>, a Michigan-based abortion chain, and she spoke of how clinics in her state regularly pushed fetuses down the drain. Unfortunately, grinding up human beings and dumping them in the sewers\u00a0runs the risk of\u00a0bad publicity. So, she considered this option:<\/p>\n

We were really tempted to give the fetus back. Do that. We thought, we\u2019ll give it to everybody in a gift bag, they can take it home, and figure out what to do with it [audience laughter]. It\u2019s their pregnancy, and why is this our problem? And I\u2019m saying that in all seriousness [audience laughter].<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
