The Mighty <a href=\"http:\/\/themighty.com\/2015\/10\/people-with-down-syndrome-write-life-changing-letters-to-new-parents\/#ixzz3pV2SVknz\">reports<\/a> on this effort, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palsprograms.org\/congratulations\/\">The Congratulations Project<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Often times, when a child is born with Down syndrome, doctors accompany the news\u00a0with an\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d They may\u00a0throw out\u00a0a bunch of facts, figures and medical jargon,\u00a0creating one, big\u00a0overwhelming experience for a new parent. It\u2019s certainly\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0the way to welcome a new life into the world.\u00a0So what\u2019s the right thing to tell a new parent of a child with Down syndrome?
