Regardless, the media are fawning over this \u201csmart\u201d little girl after her media activist mother prompted her to talk about Planned Parenthood on camera.<\/p>\n<p>Poet and\u00a0activist Staceyann Chin and her 3-year-old daughter, Zuri, donned pink to show their support of Planned Parenthood during the abortion giant\u2019s \u201cPink Out Day\u201d Sept. 29. For the event, Chin <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6_fWFtdf_3w\">created<\/a> a video with Zuri entitled, \u201cWe Stand with Planned Parenthood!\u201d In the four-minute YouTube vlog, Chin prompted her toddler to explain why they\u2019re wearing \u201cpowerful pink.\u201d And the media praised them for it.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->An <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/staceyann-chin\/lgbt-pregnancy_b_1104635.html\">LGBT activist and a self-described \u201clesbian artist,\u201d<\/a> Chin has been published by outlets including the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/02\/17\/magazine\/17lives-t.html?_r=0\">New York Times<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/staceyann-chin\/lgbt-pregnancy_b_1104635.html\">Huffington Post<\/a>. Originally from Jamaica, Chin now resides in New York.<\/p>\n<p>The mother and daughter have made other YouTube \u201cprotests\u201d in the past.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the video, Chin urged her daughter to announce, \u201cwe stand with Planned Parenthood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd why do we stand with Planned Parenthood, Zuri? Do you know why?\u201d Chin pressed her\u00a0toddler.<\/p>\n<p>Zuri replied, \u201c\u2018cause we have our own body, we can do every \u2013 we can do everything with our own body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Cause everybody has a right to decide what they will do with their own bodies,\u201d Chin clarified. To describe what exactly a body entails, Chin continued. \u201cThese are my elbows, this is my body, and inside my body I have uterus, and I have breasts, and they are my body to decide what I want to do,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Zuri inserted excitedly, \u201cI have my little boobs.\u201d Chin agreed, \u201cThey are your little boobs, and they are absolutely your boobs.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6_fWFtdf_3w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Although she got distracted while Chin gushed over Planned Parenthood, Zuri chanted at the end, \u201cWe need people to believe us.\u201d Chin encouraged her: \u201cYou are such a smarty pants, I love that about you. I love doing protests with you!\u201d But she wasn\u2019t the only one \u2013 the media encouraged little Zuri as well.<\/p>\n<p>Huffington Post staff writer Taylor Pittman <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/staceyann-chin-toddler-stand-with-planned-parenthood_5612c987e4b0af3706e1a35e?utm_hp_ref=women&amp;ir=Women&amp;section=women\">cheered<\/a>, \u201cYou go, Zuri,\u201d in her Oct. 6 piece titled, \u201cToddler Gets Why We Need Planned Parenthood Better Than Some Adults.\u201d Upworthy\u2019s headline similarly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upworthy.com\/this-smart-toddler-understands-planned-parenthood-way-better-than-those-trying-to-defund-it?c=utw1&amp;utm_content=bufferd7deb&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer\">read<\/a>, \u201cThis smart toddler understands Planned Parenthood way better than those trying to defund it.\u201d In the story, Erica Williams Simon commended \u201cone the most adorable \u2014 and brilliantly simple \u2014 statements of support ever.\u201d \u201cZuri&#8217;s words weren&#8217;t just cute,\u201d she wrote, \u201cThey were important\u201d and \u201cboiled down the debate over the value of women&#8217;s health care and reproductive rights to a pretty simple affirmation of women&#8217;s bodily autonomy: the right to own ourselves, take care of ourselves, and love ourselves.\u201d RH Reality Check <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rhrealitycheck\/status\/651185111451328513\">praised<\/a> the \u201cadorable\u201d Zuri and the \u201c#ParentingWin.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ICYMI  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/staceyannchin\">@staceyannchin<\/a> &amp;
