{"id":76332,"date":"2015-10-07T11:55:21","date_gmt":"2015-10-07T15:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=76332"},"modified":"2015-10-07T11:55:21","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T15:55:21","slug":"jindal-abortion-partly-blame-culture-produces-mass-shootings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/jindal-abortion-partly-blame-culture-produces-mass-shootings\/","title":{"rendered":"Jindal: Abortion partly to blame for culture that produces mass shootings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>On Tuesday, Louisiana Governor and Republican presidential candidate Bobby Jindal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bobbyjindal.com\/jindal-we-fill-our-culture-with-garbage\/\">wrote a blog post<\/a> arguing that abortion was a cultural factor indirectly leading to last week&#8217;s shooting at an Oregon community college.<\/p>\n<p>Jindal contended that &#8220;everyone knows deep down, but politicians are afraid to talk about&#8221; the &#8220;root cause of all these evil acts&#8221;: &#8220;deep and serious cultural decay in our society.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->&#8220;We devalue human life, we have no regard for the sanctity of human life in any regard,&#8221; he said as one of his examples, &#8220;from the unborn, to the old, and to every single person in between, we devalue it and act as if we have almost no regard for humanity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jindal went on to summarize it as &#8220;the old computer axiom \u2013 garbage in, garbage out.&#8221; He called on America to address a multitude of crises, including &#8220;the devaluation of human life,&#8221; and predicted that if the country does not, &#8220;we will get the exact same result.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jindal has a strong pro-life record as governor, and has been one of the most outspoken in the presidential primary field, from <a href=\"\/news\/bobby-jindal-defends-decision-to-defund-planned-parenthood-after-abortion-business-sues\/\">terminating Louisiana&#8217;s Medicaid contract<\/a> with Planned Parenthood to saying Congressional Republicans <a href=\"\/news\/gop-presidential-candidates-stop-funding-abortion-giant-planned-parenthood\/\">should be willing to risk<\/a> a government shutdown to defund the abortion giant to responding to pro-abortion protesters <a href=\"\/news\/boom-jindal-sets-standard-cutting-planned-parenthood-propaganda\/\">by playing<\/a> the Center for Medical Progress investigative videos on a large screen outside the governor&#8217;s mansion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, Louisiana Governor and Republican presidential candidate Bobby Jindal wrote a blog post arguing that abortion was a cultural factor indirectly leading to last week&#8217;s shooting at an Oregon community college.
