Regardless of their reasoning for choosing to abort, the tweets all convey the same false message that abortion is a social good without lasting negative\u00a0consequences.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ShoutYourAbortion?src=hash\">#ShoutYourAbortion<\/a> In 1988 a late-term abortion got a teenage me back on track for college, career, &amp; motherhood. <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/xdoTFoDJ7D\">pic.twitter.com\/xdoTFoDJ7D<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Vagenda of Manocide (@Ruby) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ruby\/status\/646022564645609472\">September 21, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>In reality, we know abortion isn&#8217;t just\u00a0a emotionally painless, all around feel good decision. If that was the case, post abortion groups like Rachel&#8217;s Vineyard, Silent No More Awareness, and\u00a0Forgiven &amp; Set Free (all of which you can find online) wouldn&#8217;t exist. Earlier this year, a Harvard Student<a href=\"\/news\/harvard-student-shares-heartbreaking-story-like-abortion\/\"> wrote<\/a> an open letter about the horrors of her abortion procedure. She said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;The procedure didn\u2019t take long. It wasn\u2019t even that physically painful. But when it was over, I screamed. <strong>I couldn\u2019t stop screaming.<\/strong> As I write these words, it has been over a month since the abortion\u2014and on the inside that screaming hasn\u2019t stopped.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This student&#8217;s story is\u00a0not one Planned Parenthood would ever promote.\u00a0An #I&#8217;mStillScreaming hashtag likely wouldn&#8217;t get as much media attention as #ShoutYourAbortion. Regardless, it&#8217;s important to realize that abortion affects women in different ways. While some may feel gratitude for their decision, many suffer lifelong regret. Thankfully, in the midst of many celebratory abortion posts, we see some women sharing their disapproval of the procedure.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I regret my abortion from the moment the suction procedure started I knew I was killing my baby<br \/>PP hid the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ultrasound?src=hash\">#ultrasound<\/a><br \/>  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ShoutYourAbortion?src=hash\">#ShoutYourAbortion<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; kim shipton (@Pro_Life_Kim) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Pro_Life_Kim\/status\/646156505989820416\">September 22, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>This woman&#8217;s story about her mother&#8217;s attempt to abort her and the painful regret she suffered was the most powerful tweet I saw.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ShoutYourAbortion?src=hash\">#ShoutYourAbortion<\/a> My mother aborted me. I survived. Childhood was Hell but I overcame. Her regret led to suicide. Don&#39;t do it. Life matters<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; andieiam (@andieiamwhoiam) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/andieiamwhoiam\/status\/646380338688606208\">September 22, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>In response to #ShoutYourAbortion, a Facebook page has been created titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Shout-Your-Abortion-Regret-784436035012832\/timeline\/\">&#8220;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Shout-Your-Abortion-Regret-784436035012832\/timeline\/\">Shout Your Abortion-Regret.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0 In a post on the page, a woman named April describes how the procedure haunted her. She shares:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;Next I went into the procedure room where the #abortionist <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/abortionist?source=feed_text&amp;story_id=785048008284968\"><span class=\"_58cl\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">\u202a<\/span><\/u><\/span><span class=\"_58cm\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">\u202c<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/a> (a middle aged man) explained what he was going to do. He told me it would be a &#8216;gentle suctioning&#8217; (that&#8217;s a lie!) of the contents of the #uterus <u><\/u>. I remember the sound of the suction machine to this day and how loud it was as well as how badly this &#8216;gentle suctioning&#8217; hurt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Another woman named Bonnie shared her feelings of regret after being <a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/rosaacuna\/\">deceived concerning <\/a>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/\">development of her baby<\/a>. Bonnie wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;It was two years before I learned about basic #fetal <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/fetal?source=feed_text&amp;story_id=785037731619329\"><span class=\"_58cl\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">\u202a<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/a>development, and realized that my child wasn&#8217;t just a puddle of liquid. He looked exactly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/\">like the baby in this picture<\/a>, before he was torn apart, limb by limb by the abortionist. Devastation and regret don&#8217;t even come close to describing the feeling I had when I realized I had been lied to. Had I been given the #truth<u><\/u><u><\/u>, by anyone, I would have fought with my life for my child and never allowed him to be #killed <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/killed?source=feed_text&amp;story_id=785037731619329\"><u><\/u><span class=\"_58cm\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">\u202c<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/a>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Abortion is a destructive and harmful choice, but some post-abortive women are healing from their past by being a voice in the present.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I hate my abortion.
