The House Judiciary Committee is\u00a0investigating multiple felonies<\/a> at Planned Parenthood, America\u2019s largest abortion chain<\/a>. Among the witnesses called were Gianna Jessen and Melissa Ohden, two women who have had some first hand experience with the abortion industry.<\/p>\n

It tried to kill them.<\/p>\n

Both Jessen<\/a> and\u00a0 Ohden<\/a> were\u00a0delivered during botched abortions. While the circumstances of their births might have been unusual (although not exactly rare<\/a>), the fact that they\u2019re women and leaders in the pro-life movement definitely isn\u2019t. Women are at the forefront of the pro-life cause, and polls show that many women favor pro-life legislation, sometimes in greater numbers<\/a> than men.<\/p>\n

You wouldn\u2019t know it from listening to pro-abortion\u00a0activists and politicians, however. They\u2019ve tried to make protecting the abortion industry synonymous with defending women, and they\u2019re quick to lash out whenever that industry is challenged. There\u2019s a few problems with their narrative, of course. The most glaring? Women are often the ones<\/a> they\u2019re facing off against.<\/p>\n

That might be why a Texas-based organization is suggesting a new strategy: talk about how men can benefit from abortion. Yup, it\u2019s come to this.<\/p>\n

In March, Andrea Grimes<\/a> of RH Reality Check interviewed<\/a> Amy Hagstrom Miller and Amanda Williams. They\u2019re the founders of Shift<\/a>, a nonprofit \u201cseeking to strategically shift the stigma around abortion in our culture.\u201d How are they going to do that? Well, here\u2019s one idea:<\/p>\n

Should we have a campaign where white men talk about how they benefitted from abortion? It sort of makes you throw up in your mouth a little bit, but maybe actually people listen to them. Would that work? I don\u2019t know. Like, \u201cI got to go to law school because my girlfriend in college had an abortion.\u201d Like, holy sh**! Because it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yes, there are some men who benefit from abortion, like Christian McQueen. He\u2019s an author for the site Return of Kings, and in 2013 he released<\/a> \u201cThe 10 Slut Commandments.\u201d According to Mr. Queen, these instructions are \u201ctime-tested and designed to protect you, get you tons of a** and keep you from falling for a slut.\u201d They include such gems as \u201ca slut is a slut because she has low self-esteem\u201d and \u201csluts are there for a man\u2019s enjoyment and betterment.\u201d<\/p>\n

But as McQueen admits, there\u2019s a major risk that comes with learning to \u201cexploit\u201d the women in your life. After all, it\u2019s possible you\u2019ll \u201cget a slut pregnant\u201d and end up having to \u201csupport a child and her slutty mother.\u201d To avoid this scenario, your best option is to \u201cconvince her to have an abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you’re looking\u00a0for ideas on how to do that, you don\u2019t need to go far. One of Mr. McQueen\u2019s fellow writers at Return of Kings offers this bit of guidance:<\/p>\n

When that doesn\u2019t work, some men resort to blackmail<\/a> and financial coercion<\/a>. Others just use physical violence.\u00a0 Joseph Minerd<\/a> did; he murdered his pregnant girlfriend with a homemade bomb for refusing\u00a0his demands for an abortion\u00a0(her three year-old daughter died, too). Women have also been shot<\/a>, stabbed<\/a>, bludgeoned<\/a>, and smothered<\/a> for the same reason. That might be why some studies suggest that over half<\/a> of women who abort feel pressured to do so.<\/p>\n

A coerced abortion isn\u2019t just a way to avoid child support payments; it can also help a man stay out of jail. Gary Cross<\/a> understood that, which is why he took his thirteen year-old stepdaughter to Planned Parenthood after getting her pregnant.<\/p>\n

While staff there didn\u2019t tell authorities that she was well below the age of consent, they did\u00a0refer her for an abortion. With the evidence gone, Cross went back to raping her. He isn\u2019t the only one to benefit from \u201cabortion on demand and without apology\u201d– these 50 other<\/a> sexual predators did as well.<\/p>\n

Live Action’s\u00a0own investigations<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0turned up multiple PP clinics in several\u00a0states which were\u00a0willing to cover-up the sexual abuse of minors, so Cross’s crime isn’t unusual.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not only amateur abusers who get help from the abortion industry; professionals do, too<\/a>. When testifying before Texas\u2019 Joint Interim Committee to Study Human Trafficking, Dallas Department of Public Safety officer Jeff Williams pointed out that traffickers frequently use<\/a> abortion to keep their victims working.<\/p>\n

One of the things she\u00a0recounts is being forced into two abortions by her pimp, an experience she describes as \u201cthe hardest\u201d:<\/p>\n
