Wade"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Earlier this week, South Dakota legislators passed an unprecedented\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2015\/09\/15\/state-asks-supreme-court-to-overturn-roe-v-wade-decision-allowing-unlimited-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\">resolution<\/a> requesting the US Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling in Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>The measure\u00a0explains that\u00a0South Dakota state officials are blocked from doing their sworn duty to protect the\u00a0\u201cintrinsic rights\u201d of children and women because of federal laws dictated by the Supreme Court&#8217;s 1973 decision in Roe.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution states,\u00a0&#8220;The right and duty to preserve life cannot co-exist with a right or duty to destroy it \u2026 and long ago our law was required to choose life over death.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->South Dakota State Rep.\u00a0Lynne DiSanto, one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2015\/sep\/14\/south-dakota-lawmakers-ask-supreme-court-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\">sponsors<\/a> of the resolution, pointed out that the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision in Roe is damaging women. \u201cWe believe \u2026 there is significant, documented evidence that women are being harmed\u201d by Roe v. Wade \u201cand we would like the Supreme Court\u00a0to look at that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution also mentions the fallibility of the Supreme Court,\u00a0and the fact that it has overturned \u201cno less than 233\u201d of its\u00a0earlier decisions \u201cbecause they had been incorrectly decided.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State Rep. Roger Hunt, another sponsor of the resolution, encouraged other states to follow with similar legislation, requesting the Supreme Court to reconsider and overturn Roe v.
