Its current abortionist has a less than stellar record of medical &#8220;care,&#8221; and its past abortionist\u00a0was embroiled\u00a0in ongoing scandal.<\/p>\n<p>Despite\u00a0these facts, it has recently come to light that the University of Toledo is sending students to the clinic\u00a0for abortion training. CCN\u00a0has proven time and time again that it cannot or will not maintain excellent standards of care \u2013 and yet the next generation of doctors is training there?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_73062\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-73062\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-73062\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Michaelis-Mugshot11102014-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"Thomas Michaelis (via abortiondocs.org)\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-73062\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Thomas Michaelis (via abortiondocs.org)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>CCN&#8217;s former abortionist, Thomas Michaelis, was convicted of Attempted Gross Sexual Imposition, Voyeurism, and Public Indecency in 1991. However, he returned to work in the abortion industry in 1997. Finally, in 2014, Michaelis was indicted on two criminal counts related to possessing and distributing child pornography. His license to practice was subsequently revoked \u2013 again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThomas Michaelis was a child sex monster that found his hiding place in the abortion industry,\u201d said Troy Newman, President of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/shock-revelations-link-university-of-toledo-to-abortion-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\">Operation Rescue<\/a>. \u201cThe clinic provided him a free reign for his perverted passions. From 2011-2012, during his time working as an abortionist for Planned Parenthood, seventeen of Burkons&#8217; patients experienced moderate to severe complications from their abortions. His\u00a0performance was so dismal, state records show that 41% of all medication abortion complications came from his office during those years.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s more. On top of offering \u201ccare\u201d from sexual predators and less-than-impressive doctors, Capital Care Network doesn\u2019t seem to be too\u00a0concerned about safety or sanitation.\u00a0Upon inspecting the clinic, state officials found atrocious conditions:\u00a0filthy walls, carpets, and furniture\u00a0 &#8211; \u00a0even a bullet hole through the recovery room exit door. In 2011, Capital Care Network was cited for multiple violations of safety standards\u00a0in\u00a0infection control, cleaning procedures, and personnel training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is beyond belief that the University of Toledo would send students to a filthy clinic with bullet holes and incompetent physicians,\u201d said Newman. \u201cPublic universities must observe all state and federal laws to receive public funding. Capital Care Network is obviously operating in an illegal fashion.
