The state of Colorado will not be investigating<\/a> Planned Parenthood over allegations it is selling fetal organs for profit and breaking several federal laws in the process.<\/p>\n

State Attorney General Cynthia Coffman, a Republican, deferred to the Public Health and Environment Department, citing a state law giving them jurisdiction. And health spokesman Mark Salley deferred to the federal government, citing “the ongoing congressional investigation” in their decision not to launch a state-level inquiry.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, after the announcement of no investigation, 30\u00a0state GOP lawmakers took action, sending a letter<\/a> to the health department demanding it investigate.<\/p>\n

Rep. Dan Nordberg is leading the charge to hold Planned Parenthood to the law.<\/p><\/div>\n

State Representative Dan Nordberg declared that a “civilized society cannot allow unethical and illegal medical practices such as the harvesting of aborted human organs and babies for monetary gain,” and argued that the agency’s “duty to enforce state statute” remained binding “regardless of any congressional investigation.” He stated, “Planned Parenthood is not above the law.”<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains<\/a>, which oversees the abortion giant’s operations in Colorado, was specifically implicated by\u00a0the Center for Medical Progress undercover videos, which show<\/a> PPRM’s Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Savita Ginde, identifying the organs of a dead baby, referencing “how much we can get out of” organ procurement monetarily, and implying<\/a> that some babies are born alive and then killed<\/a> for parts.<\/p>\n

On tape, while looking at the “war-torn” parts of a just-aborted baby boy, Ginde states, point-blank, “It’s a baby.<\/a>”<\/p>\n

As Live Action News has previously covered<\/a>, twelve states have opened investigations into affiliates of the abortion giant within their borders following\u00a0the reveal of\u00a0its fetal organ harvesting practices.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood claims the videos have been “deceptively edited” to smear the organization, but CMP’s David Daleiden notes<\/a> that the abortion giant’s own experts have found “no evidence of audio manipulation.” Pro-lifers have also pointed out<\/a> that a recent “independent analysis” allegedly debunking the CMP videos was in fact commissioned by Planned Parenthood and performed by the pro-Democrat research firm Fusion GPS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
