In her article, she talks about the series of undercover videos that the <a href=\"http:\/\/centerformedicalprogress.org\/\">Center for Medical Progress<\/a> (CMP) has released.<\/p>\n<p>Shot\u00a0with hidden cameras,\u00a0<a title=\"Investigative Footage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/cmp\/investigative-footage\/\" target=\"_blank\">the footage<\/a>\u00a0shows Planned Parenthood executives meeting with individuals they believe are fetal tissue purchasers. While\u00a0Planned Parenthood president\u00a0Cecile Richards\u00a0admits the tone her employees used was \u201cunacceptable,\u201d Dr. Torres says that she\u00a0didn&#8217;t \u201cperceive anything shocking\u201d\u00a0when watching the videos. According to her, the officials\u00a0sounded \u201cprofessional.\u201d (This is coming from a woman who has stated on Twitter that preborn children, even up to the day of <em>birth<\/em>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bustle.com\/articles\/40931-how-leah-torres-ob-gyn-battles-anti-choice-misinformation-on-twitter\">are incapable of feeling\u00a0pain<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Torres doesn\u2019t specify what the most professional sounding moment was. Perhaps it was nine minutes and forty two seconds into the fifth video; that\u2019s when a potential buyer asks if there are any \u201cfresh specimens\u201d he can look at. Staff at Planned Parenthood\u2019s Gulf Coast affiliate <a title=\"Planned Parenthood staff laughs about dead babies; still want to give them your money?\" href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-staff-caught-laughing-dead-babies-still-want-give-money\/\" target=\"_blank\">burst out laughing<\/a> and explain\u00a0how \u201cit\u2019s been a long day,\u201d so the remains are \u201call mixed up together in a bag.\u201d However, they eventually find what\u2019s left of a child who was aborted at twenty weeks. \u201cIt was a twin,\u201d one of them notes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/egGUEvY7CEg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Or,\u00a0Dr. Torres might think staff sound better in the fourth video. Recorded at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, it\u00a0features a clinic assistant who cheerfully\u00a0reports that there\u2019s \u201c<a title=\"\u2018Another boy!\u2019 Planned Parenthood staff sifts through aborted \u2018baby parts\u2019 in new tape\" href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-baby-parts-scandal-grows-as-new-tape-released\/\" target=\"_blank\">another boy<\/a>\u201d on the counter. He\u2019s in pieces.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GWQuZMvcFA8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>It also includes the\u00a0affiliate&#8217;s vice president, Dr. Savita Ginde. At one point, she looks down at an aborted fetus and declares, \u201c<a title=\"Planned Parenthood doctor called fetus \u201ca baby\u201d \u2013 after she killed him\" href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-doctor-called-fetus-baby-killed\/\" target=\"_blank\">It\u2019s a baby<\/a>,\u201d something pro-lifers have been saying for years. Oddly, Torres doesn\u2019t mention this.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe she thinks ignoring the law\u00a0is a mark of\u00a0professionalism; some Planned Parenthood officials are <a title=\"Fetal parts trafficking is not Planned Parenthood\u2019s only crime\" href=\"\/news\/fetal-parts-trafficking-not-planned-parenthood-only-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\">certainly ready<\/a> to do that.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Deborah Nucatola is. Nucatola is Planned Parenthood\u2019s Senior Director of Medical Services, and three minutes and forty-three seconds into CMP\u2019s first video, she describes how she can\u00a0abort a baby but still harvest the organs:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">We\u2019ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I\u2019m not gonna crush that part, I\u2019m gonna basically crush below, I\u2019m gonna crush above, and I\u2019m gonna see if I can get it all intact.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jjxwVuozMnU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Of course, <a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-admits-to-breaking-federal-law\/\">it\u2019s illegal<\/a> to alter \u201cthe timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy\u2026 solely for the purposes of obtaining the tissue,\u201d but apparently that\u2019s not a problem for her.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not a problem for Dr. Mary Gatter either. Gatter is the president of Planned Parenthood\u2019s Medical Director\u2019s Council, and in CMP\u2019s <a title=\"Second video shows Planned Parenthood negotiating payments for \u2018baby parts\u2019\" href=\"\/news\/breaking-second-video-shows-planned-parenthood-negotiating-payment-baby-parts\/\" target=\"_blank\">second video<\/a> she says the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Let me explain to you a little bit of a problem, which may not be a big problem. If our usual technique is suction, at 10 to 12 weeks, and we switch to using an IPAS [manual vacuum aspirator] or something with less suction, in order to increase the odds that it will come out as an intact specimen, then we\u2019re kind of violating the protocol that says to the patient, \u201cWe\u2019re not doing anything different in our care for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What Gatter is talking about involves breaking the law and deceiving patients, but she\u2019s fine with doing both:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Now, to me, that\u2019s kind of a specious little argument, and I wouldn\u2019t object to asking Ian \u2014 who\u2019s our surgeon who does the cases \u2014 to use an IPAS at that gestational stage, in order to increase the odds that he\u2019s going to get an intact specimen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If Dr. Torres thinks this is \u201cprofessional\u201d conduct for a doctor, then I\u2019d hate to see what she finds objectionable.<\/p>\n<p>But\u00a0although these videos prove Planned Parenthood isn&#8217;t good at being professional, there\u2019s one thing the group excels at: getting your money.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, Planned Parenthood receives over <a title=\"Planned Parenthood receives record amount of taxpayer support\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2013\/01\/08\/planned-parenthood-receives-record-amount-taxpayer-support\/\" target=\"_blank\">half a billion<\/a> dollars in federal subsidies. Pro-life senators have <a title=\"Abortion lobby stands in the way of more funding for health centers\" href=\"\/news\/abortion-lobby-stands-in-way-more-funding-health-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\">tried\u00a0redirecting<\/a> those\u00a0funds to community health centers, but the abortion lobby and much of the\u00a0Democratic\u00a0Party stands in the way.<\/p>\n<p>If you want that to change, then sign Live Action\u2019s petition.
