The Tim Tebow Foundation helps to fund the adoptions &#8211; 44 so far, with an additional one each month &#8211; of children with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation also started the &#8220;Night to Shine&#8221; just last year. On February 13, 2015, &#8220;44 host churches in 26 states and in three countries&#8221; hosted \u201cmore than 7,000 honored guests, all kings and queens of the prom.&#8221; The <a href=\"\/news\/people-features-a-look-inside-night-to-shine-tim-tebows-prom-night\/\">honored guests were people with disabilities<\/a> &#8211; who many societies, including our own, reject and abort at high rates. Tebow <a href=\"\/news\/people-features-a-look-inside-night-to-shine-tim-tebows-prom-night\/\">spoke at the proms<\/a>, telling the people that they were valuable and loved, most of all by the God who created and saves them.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;Tonight, our number one goal is to make you feel like kings and queens. But to be honest with you, every moment of your life, God looks at you like a king or a queen because you are so special.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tebow and his mother, Pam, have <a href=\"\/news\/top-five-most-influential-pro-life-celebrities-of-2011\/\">publicly shared<\/a> the story of how Pam was urged to abort Tim, her fifth and last child.<\/p>\n<p>In Tebow&#8217;s autobiography, he writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cAccording to [the doctor], the \u2018mass of fetal tissue\u2019 or \u2018tumor\u2019\u2014<strong><em>me<\/em><\/strong>\u2014had to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-70841\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Screen-Shot-2015-08-14-at-12.47.52-PM-300x249.png\" alt=\"Tim Tebow\" width=\"300\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Screen-Shot-2015-08-14-at-12.47.52-PM-300x249.png 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Screen-Shot-2015-08-14-at-12.47.52-PM-700x580.png 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Screen-Shot-2015-08-14-at-12.47.52-PM.png 718w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Tim&#8217;s mother rejected abortion, and a worldwide star was born. In 2010, Focus on the Family aired a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xqReTDJSdhE\">commercial <\/a>during the Super Bowl, showing Tebow and his mother briefly speaking out for life. Viewers were directed to Focus on the Family&#8217;s website, where they could hear the full story.<\/p>\n<p>Susan Wood was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.focusonthefamily.com\/tebow\">one pregnant woman<\/a> who was watching the commercial, unsure of what she would do with her baby. She wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cThat was the night that I saw Tim Tebow\u2019s commercial. That\u2019s really what brought me to Focus on the Family. I went home and I watched the commercial again on YouTube. I explored the site, I watched video after video, then I emailed Focus on the Family\u2026Then I got an email back and literally within reading that email it was almost instantly that decision, the things that she said just clicked. And I knew that all along that was what I wanted to do, that I needed to have the strength to do it. There was nothing after that, I knew I\u2019m keeping the baby. I\u2019m having her. \u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Susan&#8217;s daughter, Avita Grace, is now four years old. I am so grateful. If there hadn\u2019t been a Super Bowl commercial, if I hadn\u2019t been at the party, if someone had responded to my email in a different way . . .I will never be able to express the gratitude and love that I feel.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Just like Tim Tebow, each of us should seek to save, inspire, and aid more lives, every day. Our birthdays should serve as a reminder of the incredible blessing of life itself &#8211; and the gift of being born.
