On August 10, Abby Johnson of And Then There Were None<\/a>, \u00a0shared the story of a former Planned Parenthood security guard<\/a> named Jim who was shocked by the undercover videos released by\u00a0The Center for Medical Progress. The videos, extensively covered\u00a0by Live Action and other pro-life news sources, show abortion clinic workers and Planned Parenthood officials engaging in dialogue about selling aborted baby body parts.<\/p>\n

Jim had worked at the clinic featured in the third Planned Parenthood<\/a> video – Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains<\/a> – which showed the dissection of aborted babies for their organs.<\/p>\n

The following testimony from Jim\u00a0demonstrates\u00a0that\u00a0many people who support Planned Parenthood, even some that work for them, really don\u2019t know about the horrible things that Planned Parenthood is doing.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0says:<\/p>\n

My name is Jim\u00a0and I once proudly worked for Planned Parenthood.\u00a0As the Director of Security for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, I took the job thinking it was the most perfect opportunity a security professional could find.<\/p>\n

One person I swore to protect was the Vice President and Chief of Medical Services at Planned Parenthood, Savita Ginde. In fact, I was hired mostly because she approved.\u00a0 She questioned me at length during the interview process, and I heard later that she was the main reason I got the job.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At first, Jim had qualms about working for abortion provider. He had heard rumors from antiabortion activists about the clinic, and had a question\u00a0for Ginde:<\/p>\n

During that interview process, I asked her specifically \u201cWhy do the protesters claim you cut up baby parts and sell them for research?\u201d\u00a0Her answer:\u00a0\u201cBecause they\u2019re crazy.\u201d I even spent many a morning telling the protesters how they were lying about the body parts being sold.\u00a0We didn\u2019t do that.\u00a0I was confident we didn\u2019t, because that\u2019s what I was told.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Like too many people, Jim blindly believed what Planned Parenthood told him. But then:<\/p>\n

\n

However, recently it has come to light that some affiliates\u00a0are harvesting body parts and selling them for research.\u00a0I couldn\u2019t believe it a few weeks ago when the first video came out.\u00a0There was a top official for the Planned Parenthood national office talking so comfortably while eating a salad about being careful while performing the \u201cprocedure\u201d so that she didn\u2019t destroy the valuable parts.<\/p>\n

While watching this video though, I was greatly relieved because as disgusting as it was, at least it wasn\u2019t MY former clinic.\u00a0At least the doctors I worked hard to protect weren\u2019t doing this.\u00a0I obviously worked for an ethical affiliate.\u00a0We would never harvest baby parts and sell them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Jim was in for a rude awakening:<\/p>\n

And then there was another video, showing Dr.\u00a0Ginde, the woman who had interviewed me; the woman who swore to me that our affiliate didn\u2019t do that; the woman who\u00a0I protected; on video discussing how to maximize profit by ensuring all parts were harvested and sold separately.<\/p>\n

There she was telling how the affiliate\u2019s lawyer, who I thought I had developed an actual friendship with, had gone to great lengths to set up the procedures to harvest and sell the baby parts across state lines.<\/p>\n

And there she was, with her medical assistant, actually dissecting a fetus that had just been aborted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jim was horrified at learning the truth, and shocked to see the remains of the aborted baby:<\/p>\n

\n

I sat stunned watching the video.\u00a0They swore that our affiliate didn\u2019t do that.\u00a0They hid it from me, and lied to me so that I would continue to protect them while they did it.\u00a0And the worst part of the video?\u00a0The announcement of \u201cHey, it\u2019s another boy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Wait… it can\u2019t be a boy.\u00a0You told me it was nothing but a clump of cells.\u00a0\u201cA boy\u201d is a determination you make about a baby.\u00a0It can\u2019t possibly be a determination you make about a clump of cells.\u00a0A zygote.\u00a0A \u201cfetus\u201d.\u00a0A boy… is a child.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"Planned-Parenthood-fetal-parts4\"Jim finishes his powerful testimony by saying:<\/p>\n

I protected Dr. Ginde.\u00a0I protected the rest of the employees.\u00a0I protected them because they swore things to me because they knew if they told me the truth I\u2019d quit.\u00a0They knew if I knew the truth I\u2019d tell others.\u00a0The allowed me to stand on the corner and call protesters liars, who were telling the truth.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m ashamed of my employment with Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.\u00a0I\u2019m ashamed of the lies I parroted for them.\u00a0I\u2019m ashamed of the people I called liars who were doing nothing but telling the truth.\u00a0I\u2019m ashamed that I considered Dr. Savita Ginde a friend worth protecting.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The administration of Planned Parenthood are masters at presenting themselves in a positive light and denying pro-lifers\u2019 accusations. But the videos are hard to deny.\u00a0 Many people who thought abortion was simply the removal of cells or of \u201cfetal tissue\u201d have now seen aborted babies with fully developed arms and legs and intact organs. They have heard the callous, casual way that Planned Parenthood officials talk about the babies they abort. A lot of eyes have been and are being\u00a0opened.<\/p>\n

For every pro-choicer who hides his\u00a0head in the sand, refusing\u00a0to watch the videos, others are watching\u00a0and becoming informed in a way they have never been\u00a0before.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood is well aware that if many people knew the truth, they wouldn\u2019t support Planned Parenthood. They know the lies are needed. It is the job of pro-lifers\u00a0to continue presenting the truth and exposing the lies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
