In response, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services gave them a $1 million sole source non-competitive replacement grant to provide Title X family planning services.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>New Hampshire Right to Life has been battling in court ever since, with a Freedom of Information Act request attempting to force the Obama Administration to release documentation surrounding the grant, which the White House has only partly released, maintaining that such a disclosure would harm Planned Parenthood\u2019s \u201ccompetitive position\u201d in seeking future grants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the very least, the government must be transparent about this money,\u201d ADF Senior Counsel Casey Mattox argues. \u201cSince Planned Parenthood is already the subject of repeated state and federal audits and whistleblower lawsuits for waste, abuse, and potential fraud of taxpayer dollars, not to mention ongoing federal and state investigations over possible baby parts trafficking, the government should comply with the law and come clean about the funding.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a brief with the Supreme Court to reveal the truth behind federal grants to Planned Parenthood of New England.
