sticker.\u00a0 And at first, you agreed.\u00a0 \u201cEvery child a wanted child.\u201d\u00a0 The words ring pro-life, until you hear the undertone, the statement left unsaid: \u201cAnd let all unwanted children <em>remain<\/em> unborn.\u201d\u00a0 This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/ma\/pplm-wanting-every-child-be-wanted-child.htm\">deceiving motto of Planned Parenthood<\/a> could seduce anyone into agreement at first glance.\u00a0 But the fundamental belief of the Planned Parenthood mentality crashes into a starkly different belief from the life movement, that each<em> <\/em>child <em>is <\/em>wanted.\u00a0 Every last one of them.<\/p>\n<p>There is no doubt that birthing and raising a child is a significant cost over the course of a lifetime.\u00a0 And certainly any parent hopes to have sufficient, even abundant resources to provide for their children\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p>However, the true yet over-marketed fear that women and children face a life of poverty as babies are born into less than ideal circumstances is not, however, the foundational bed for pro-choice thought.\u00a0 Truth be told, Planned Parenthood\u2019s mother, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dianedew.com\/sanger.htm\">Margaret Sanger<\/a>, dreamed of a world of smart, white folks breeding moderately-sized, responsible families as the numbers of poor or various other ethnic groups dwindled into obscurity and faded from view.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->If only it were true that Planned Parenthood desired for children to be born wanted.\u00a0 If only they could boast of roles in assisting women with attaining resources for the children they do want.\u00a0 Instead, we hear them fumbling for reasons to promote abortion as a \u201creproductive right\u201d, a <a href=\"..\/38-4-of-pp-health-center-income-is-from-abortions\/\">primary source of income for the organization<\/a>, no less.<\/p>\n<p>Being on the side of life means being willing to provide practical solutions to real life problems pregnant women face.\u00a0 So let\u2019s address this concern Planned Parenthood pretends to care about, as it is a real issue for women.\u00a0 It\u2019s true that women have raised children on meager means for millennia.\u00a0 In American culture today, many of these brave women do not have fathers present to protect or provide; many have to work outside the home while children spend time in school activities or childcare.\u00a0 Many even do without basics, like vehicles, new clothes, or (gasp), iPods.\u00a0 But for mothers and fathers who want children and prioritize their families, resources abound if they know where to look.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6959\" style=\"margin: 15px;\" title=\"strength\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/strength.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"253\" \/>One shining example is the uber-practical, <a href=\"http:\/\/kidsonashoestring.com\/\">Kids on a Shoestring<\/a>, a dream in downloadable PDF for resource junkies and pro-life advocates everywhere.\u00a0 Not to mention moms.\u00a0 Compiled by Feminists for Life, the 44-page publication offers money-saving tips, nutrition recommendations, ideas for clothing kids on the cheap, and even highlights affordable adoption options.<\/p>\n<p>So often parents do want to birth and raise their children, but feel the pressure of family members, unsupportive partners, or their own fear of poverty as they make decisions between abortion and adoption.\u00a0 Abortion is as popular as it is because resources appear scarce, and assistance for women who want to carry a child they cannot independently support seems limited.\u00a0 The pro-life movement can help resolve this issue by educating ourselves on local, state and federal resources for mothers and low-income families.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t know where to start, contact your state social services branch for information about welfare, WIC and other basic resources.<\/p>\n<p>As we labor to offer hope and promote life, let us also empower ourselves and others with the knowledge
