The couple has been trying to have a baby for years and had three miscarriages along the way.\u00a0Miscarriages are one of the most painful\u00a0things\u00a0a couple desiring a family can go through. Mark expressed his feelings over the loss of three\u00a0of his preborn children.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You feel so hopeful when you learn you&#8217;re going to have a child. You start imagining who they&#8217;ll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they&#8217;re gone. It&#8217;s a lonely experience. Most people don&#8217;t discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you &#8212; as if you&#8217;re defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Zuckerberg is\u00a0telling the world about\u00a0their\u00a0miscarriages because\u00a0he believes discussing the issue brings people closer together. He\u00a0said that\u00a0in an open and connected world, discussing the struggles we face helps to create understanding, tolerance and bring hope. When the couple\u00a0began talking to their friends about\u00a0their miscarriages, they realized how\u00a0many had similar issues. They learned how\u00a0frequently miscarriages happen and were encouraged to discover the couples they knew were still able to have healthy children after\u00a0a miscarriage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg believes sharing their story will give others hope, just like they felt hopeful after talking to other couples.\u00a0Since Priscilla is\u00a0far enough in the pregnancy\u00a0now, the risk of loss is very low.<\/p>\n<p>For a man\u00a0who made a thumbs up symbol\u00a0into something millions use daily on Facebook, the surprise they\u00a0 got during their ultrasound\u00a0was extra special. &#8220;<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">In our ultrasound, she even gave me a thumbs up &#8220;like&#8221; with her hand, so I&#8217;m already convinced she takes after me,&#8221; said Zuckerberg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The happy couple and millions of fans in the world are now awaiting for the arrival of this loved little girl.
