The number of videos<\/a> released<\/a> by <\/a>the Center for Medical Progress featuring top Planned Parenthood executives discussing their fetal parts business keeps growing. And along with it, so do the states which have announced they will investigate\u00a0the abortion giant.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday,\u00a0a press release<\/a> for Florida Governor Rick Scott, a Republican, announced:<\/p>\n

Governor Rick Scott announced today that he has asked the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to immediately begin investigating the 16 Planned Parenthood offices in Florida that perform abortion procedures to ensure they are in full compliance with the law.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Scott’s press release also called the videos “deeply troubling, to say the least.” Also mentioned is that:<\/p>\n

\n

If a Planned Parenthood office is not following the law, we will move quickly to take legal and regulatory action against them. We hold our healthcare organizations in Florida to the highest standards of safety and we expect them to fully comply with the law at all times.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

While it is slightly troubling that Scott would refer to Planned Parenthood as part of the “healthcare organizations in Florida,” the investigation is certainly a welcomed move.<\/p>\n

In their reporting, CBS 12 News mentions<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The announcement comes amid controversy that some Planned Parenthood affiliates in fewer than five states are supplying fetal tissue for research….<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Such a claim was mentioned by Planned Parenthood CEO and president Cecile Richards during her Sunday morning interview<\/a> on ABC’s\u00a0This Week with George Stephanopoulos.\u00a0<\/em>Richards made<\/a>\u00a0several unfounded claims<\/a> about the videos and smeared\u00a0the Center for Medical Progress\u00a0as a group of extremists and killers.<\/p>\n

So far, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, <\/a>Missouri, <\/a>Arizona, <\/a>Iowa, <\/a>Massachusetts,<\/a> and Kansas <\/a>have also announced investigations or reviews of Planned Parenthood.
