I am sitting at my desk, taking a moment of reflection over the past week, what I have witnessed, listened to and read.\u00a0I am disturbed \u2013 even haunted and somehow \u2013 I am not surprised.<\/p>\n

The news of Planned Parenthood\u2019s\u00a0grisly baby parts operation<\/a>\u00a0has been a daily source of news, social media posts, blogs, and videos. I have been caught up in it all, and now\u2026I reflect.<\/p>\n

\"Planned-Parenthood-sells-aborted-baby-body-parts-CMP-2-209x198\"<\/a>I think about what is happening in this nation\u00a0– of 42 years of legalized abortion on demand.<\/p>\n

As I ponder what has taken place this last week, I am not shocked that babies are being chopped up and sold for parts like\u00a0an old car in a junkyard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I am not shocked, because every day, more than\u00a03,000 beautifully formed, innocent babies are snuffed out in their mother\u2019s wombs by abortion.<\/p>\n

What shocks me more than hearing what groups like Planned Parenthood are doing with their remains is the lack of concern for these tiny humans on a daily basis. Yes, this shocks me.<\/p>\n

I have\u00a0witnessed<\/a>\u00a0the gruesomeness of abortion up close. I am one of the few who has held their broken bodies, their dismembered and bloodied corpses barely cold from being tossed in a dumpster outside an abortion clinic.\u00a0I wrote about that day in detail\u00a0here<\/a>, and it is forever entrenched in my mind.<\/p>\n

The smells, the images, the tears.<\/p>\n

But I am also a student of history, and we have repeated this many times over.\u00a0Think back to World War II\u00a0and the Nazi experiments on the Jews. Think about\u00a0how ISIS, today, callously slaughters women and children and Christians by the hundreds.<\/p>\n

What has happened to America?<\/p>\n

Why do we refuse to speak out about such atrocities until we are consumed with the dead corpses around us?\u00a0Is the harvesting of aborted baby body parts so horrific that we are only now<\/em> awakened to the pain and suffering of these tiny babies?\u00a0Really?<\/p>\n

Are we not moved to tears by the mere ripping apart, in early suction abortions, of their innocent arms, legs\u00a0 lungs and kidneys on a daily basis?\u00a0Can we not envision the horror of the abortionist\u2019s knife grasping the limbs, torso, and head of the second trimester unborn child in a\u00a0D&E<\/a>\u00a0abortion?<\/p>\n

We have to ask ourselves these\u00a0tough questions.<\/p>\n

Which is more evil?\u00a0An\u00a0abortionist\u00a0who finds ways\u00a0to profit from\u00a0every aspect of the bloody procedure or an\u00a0apathetic\u00a0sideliner who scolds him for unethical business practices instead of for\u00a0his murderous actions?\u00a0Have we become so accustomed to abortion that the real crime of it\u00a0–\u00a0the taking of a valuable human life, created in the image of God\u00a0–\u00a0is not<\/em> the overall cause of our outrage?<\/p>\n

I wholeheartedly condemn Planned Parenthood for the Mengele-like conduct portrayed<\/a> in the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover videos<\/a>, but I also<\/em>\u00a0condemn\u00a0them for the taking of that same human life just seconds earlier.<\/p>\n

In 1889, Gilbert Haven said it best when he described the reaction to the slavery of his day.\u00a0In his National Sermons, Speeches, and Letters on Slavery and its war, Haven said:<\/p>\n

We are so familiar with the word Slavery, that its real scope and character do not smite the eye with true horror. If this nation stood today, perfectly free from this iniquity, and could behold it approaching its shores, and demanding the sovereignty, we should rise up as one man against the hellish foe.\u2026 How horrible it\u2019s sin, how horrible will be its punishment!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And in 1852, former slave Frederick Douglass described what should be our reaction today to the abortion trade:<\/p>\n

The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and its crimes against God and man must be denounced.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
