Let&#8217;s keep it that way."},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Last week, the <a title=\"Center for Medical Progress\" href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Center for Medical Progress<\/span><\/u><\/a> released <a title=\"FULL FOOTAGE: Planned Parenthood Uses Partial-Birth Abortions to Sell Baby Parts\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=H4UjIM9B9KQ\" target=\"_blank\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">a video<\/span><\/u><\/a> featuring Planned Parenthood\u2019s senior director of medical services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola. Shot in secret, it records a meeting between Dr. Nucatola and people she thought were representatives of a human-biologics firm.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jjxwVuozMnU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>A few things stand out when you watch the footage. One is how different Planned Parenthood officials sound when they\u2019re in private. You almost never hear anyone from Planned Parenthood speak publically about what actually happens during an abortion. Instead, we get awkward euphemisms about \u201cproviding choice\u201d and \u201cremoving the products of conception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve always thought this was a little ridiculous, and apparently so does Nucatola, because she drops the charade and gets honest about what she does.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->This is her describing how she can abort a baby but still\u00a0save the organs:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;We\u2019ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I\u2019m not gonna crush that part, I\u2019m gonna basically crush below, I\u2019m gonna crush above, and I\u2019m gonna see if I can get it all intact.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You also get a sense that Planned Parenthood believes it\u2019s above the rules. Altering the way that an abortion is performed in order to collect organs <a title=\"NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH REVITALIZATION ACT OF 1993\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/ohrp\/policy\/publiclaw103-43.htm.html\" target=\"_blank\">is illegal<\/a>, yet that\u2019s exactly what Nucatola is talking about.<\/p>\n<p>Further, federal law prohibits <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpo.gov\/fdsys\/pkg\/USCODE-2010-title42\/html\/USCODE-2010-title42-chap6A-subchapIII-partH-sec289g-2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">making money<\/a> off the transfer of fetal tissue, but\u00a0it doesn\u2019t seem to bother Planned Parenthood or its affiliates. As Nucatola explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cI think for affiliates, at the end of the day, they\u2019re a non-profit, they just don\u2019t want to\u2014they want to break even. <strong>And if they can do a little better than break even, and do so in a way that seems reasonable, they\u2019re happy to do that<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Doing \u201ca little better than break even\u201d is what most people would call \u201cturning a profit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And according to Nucatola,\u00a0Planned Parenthood doctors use a technique that sounds awfully similar to\u00a0<a title=\"Statements from Planned Parenthood fail to address illegal partial-birth abortion technique\" href=\"\/news\/statements-planned-parenthood-fail-address-illegal-partial-birth-abortion-technique\/\" target=\"_blank\">partial-birth abortion<\/a> to facilitate the harvest of organs.\u00a0Although partial-birth abortions have been outlawed since 2003, Nucatola isn\u2019t too concerned. \u201cThe Federal (Partial-Birth) Abortion Ban is a law,\u201d she says, \u201cand laws are up to interpretation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/partialbirthabortion.jpg\" alt=\"partialbirthabortion\" width=\"672\" height=\"372\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This sort of law-breaking\u00a0isn\u2019t surprising. After all, Planned Parenthood staff have frequently ignored their legal duty to report evidence of <a title=\"I\u2019m not surprised Planned Parenthood would sell body parts; They\u2019ve been selling out abuse victims for years.\" href=\"\/news\/im-not-surprised-planned-parenthood-sell-body-parts-theyve-selling-abuse-victims-years\/\" target=\"_blank\">sexual abuse<\/a>. However, there is some good news here.<\/p>\n<p>At seven minutes and fifty five\u00a0seconds into the video above, Nucatola declares, \u201cRight now, the way the Supreme Court looks, I don\u2019t think it looks very good.\u201d She goes on to say, \u201canything going to the Supreme Court right now, we\u2019re all losers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pro-lifers can help make sure it stays that way.<\/p>\n<p>We can demand that the next president appoint judges who aren\u2019t beholden to the abortion lobby\u2019s agenda. We can also signal to legislators that we want to see those judges confirmed. And while we\u2019re at it, we should sign Live Action\u2019s <a title=\"Planned Parenthood Exposed\" href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>petition<\/u><\/a>\u00a0asking Congress to defund Planned Parenthood and end its <a title=\"Planned Parenthood receives record amount of taxpayer support\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2013\/01\/08\/planned-parenthood-receives-record-amount-taxpayer-support\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>half billion<\/u><\/a> dollar subsidy.<\/p>\n<p>Right now Planned Parenthood is nervous, and that&#8217;s a good thing.
