(JillStanek.com<\/a>) Planned Parenthood Federation of America\u00a0and its allies want desperately to steer the conversation away from its senior medical director, who cheerfully discussed harvesting babies\u2019 livers\u00a0over some salad\u00a0and a nice chianti, to borrow a line from\u00a0Hannibal Lecter.<\/p>\n

And away from the fact the abortion giant illegally trafficks baby parts \u2013 and commits illegal partial birth abortions to do so.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood wants to suck us into side debates to get away from the\u00a0reality of what it does.<\/p>\n

The conversation Planned Parenthood wants to derail us to is on the merits of embryonic stem cell and fetal tissue research. Hence, its statement yesterday:<\/p>\n

In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different\u2026.<\/p>\n

And, on cue,\u00a0Time\u00a0magazine<\/a>\u00a0today:<\/p>\n

Research using fetuses has also led to medical advances, including in\u00a0Parkinson\u2019s Disease\u00a0and the development of a\u00a0Polio\u00a0vaccine\u2026.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0American Medical Association, for instance,\u00a0separates\u00a0a woman\u2019s decision to have an abortion from the decision to donate fetal tissue and argues that fetal tissue has the potential to save lives.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
