Pro-choice author\u00a0Carole Joffe\u00a0<\/strong>interviewed abortion clinic workers for a book she was writing. The workers acknowledged that Margaret Sanger, birth control crusader and founder of Planned Parenthood, had been a supporter of eugenics and racism, and that the birth control movement, which led to the legalization of abortion, was established by eugenicists.<\/p>\n

Eugenics is defined as:<\/a>\u00a0“a science that deals with the improvement (as by control of human mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed.”<\/p>\n

Margaret Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood and one of the early promoters of birth control in America. She spoke in front of the KKK, and said things such as:<\/a><\/p>\n

Birth control is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defective.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
