However, it is just as relevant today.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/w_ParentingResource\/down-syndrome-births-drop-us-women-abort\/story?id=8960803\" target=\"_blank\">90 percent of <\/a>preborn babies diagnosed with Down syndrome do not make it out of the womb alive. The widespread use of amniocenteses and chronic villi sampling allow for the early detection of conditions like Down syndrome, leaving the parents free to decide\u00a0what to do with their preborn baby. The parents can choose whether to let their baby live or to have him or her killed.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\">Live Action<\/a> has revealed how abortion clinics <a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/inhuman\/\" target=\"_blank\">leave babies accidentally born alive during abortion procedures to die. <\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BtpdYlcbVRQ\" width=\"406\" height=\"406\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is an account of infanticide from a delivery room in a hospital:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The doctor would see the baby\u2019s head coming out through the birth canal, realize it had Down syndrome, and signal us to let it die.<\/p>\n<p>The mother\u2019s legs would be up so she couldn\u2019t see what was going on. We would get a little wave of the doctor\u2019s hand \u2013 a signal to us not to use suction on the baby. [Then] they\u2019d say to the mother, \u201cWe\u2019re just going to give you something to relax you\u201d and the next minute she\u2019d be unconscious.<\/p>\n<p>When she came around, they\u2019d say the baby had died on delivery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The mothers were given no choice. Their babies were euthanized whether they wanted them or not. They were not given the opportunity to look into the eyes of their child. They were not given the chance to bond with their babies. Instead, the doctor, in collusion with the nurses, put the babies to death without the mother ever knowing.<\/p>\n<p>Now that tests to detect Down syndrome are so widely used, this type of \u201cpost-natal abortion\u201d may not be as common as it once was.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, now it is the parents making the decision and not the doctor. Have things improved?<\/p>\n<p>Today, instead of being allowed to die or killed by staff at a hospital (we really don\u2019t know how far the doctor and nurses would have gone to ensure a dead baby), it is the baby\u2019s own parents who sentence him or her to death.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of being killed by neglect, suffocation or other means, the baby becomes a victim of a dismemberment abortion where he or she is torn limb from limb. The diagram below is the fate of many of the 90 percent of preborn babies diagnosed with down syndrome in our country.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-60485\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/de.jpg\" alt=\"de\" width=\"653\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/de.jpg 653w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/de-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 653px) 100vw, 653px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One could wonder which method of murder was more humane.
