James is one of the highest-grossing books of all time, with over 100 million copies sold worldwide.\u00a0<\/span>The film\u2019s trailer has been viewed over 250 million times\u00a0and even snagged a prominent ad spot during the Super Bowl. Although the\u00a0novel\u00a0is widely popular among females, the novel\u2019s popularization of risky sexual behavior sends the wrong message to those who will flock to theaters on February 13. <\/span><\/p>\n

Even more concerning is the eagerness of Planned Parenthood, a corporation bent on selling abortions, in promoting\u00a0the sexual practices of Fifty Shades<\/em> to boys and girls. The series<\/span> caters a dangerous normalcy of violence to a culture ingesting\u00a0it as a palatable love story.<\/span><\/p>\n

The crux of Fifty Shades of Grey<\/em> is the\u00a0intense BDSM relationship (<\/span>bondage & discipline; dominance & submission; sadism and masochism) between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele<\/span>. Steele is seduced by Grey\u2019s charm and falls into the hands of an individual whose sole definition of romance is characterized by violence. Her\u00a0desire to be loved brings her into subjection of abusive sexual experiences, including floggings, beatings, and being handcuffed and tied up. In fact, Steele is heartbroken when she learns that her BDSM relationship with Grey is nothing more than a contract sexual relationship.\u00a0The weight is placed on sexual \u201ccompatibility,\u201d violent treatment, and the normalization of brutality, which is <\/span>not only dangerous, but deceptive.<\/span><\/p>\n

The novel gateways impressionable kids into an\u00a0\u201canything is OK\u201d sexual mentality that promotes the idea that <\/span>as long as violent sexual behavior is consensual among partners, anything is permissible. This notion not only pathways individuals toward the normalcy of violence, but empowers sexual predators who can easily cover up their crimes. <\/span><\/p>\n

While it\u2019s no secret that perpetrators of sexual abuse are often protected and their crimes covered up, Fifty Shades of Grey<\/em> empowers violators of that tragic reality. <\/span>In fact, <\/span>Planned Parenthood, the nation\u2019s largest abortion chain, has not only covered up these crimes, but has been an advocate of sexual activity popularized by Fifty Shades<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Live Action\u2019s undercover investigations <\/a>reveal Planned Parenthood staffers encouraging minors to illegally visit sex shops, view pornography, and experiment with BDSM without parental knowledge. The corporation has counseled underage girls to read Fifty Shades<\/em> as a manual on how to experiment with violent sexual practices.
