{"id":58534,"date":"2015-01-20T16:26:15","date_gmt":"2015-01-20T21:26:15","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=58534"},"modified":"2015-01-20T17:30:21","modified_gmt":"2015-01-20T22:30:21","slug":"newborn-set-on-fire-left-to-die-in-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/newborn-set-on-fire-left-to-die-in-the-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Newborn set on fire, left to die in the road\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Most people believe that the modern world is more civilized than it was thousands of years ago, when, as part of a human sacrifice to a false god, firstborn children were burnt alive in order to ensure financial prosperity, a good harvest, and a secure future.<\/p>\n<p>The Book of Deuteronomy in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> Chapter, 31<sup>st<\/sup> verse, says: &#8220;You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Although the Canaanite deity\u00a0Molech is no longer being appeased by <a href=\"http:\/\/biblehub.com\/leviticus\/18-21.htm\">child sacrifice<\/a>, every day the gods of convenience, selfishness, and moral depravity are placated with the burnt offerings of abortion and filicide.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_58633\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58633\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-58633 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Dorvilier.jpg\" alt=\"Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-58633\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Sadly, filicide, the act of a parent killing his offspring, is exactly what happened in Pemberton Township, New Jersey, when a 22-year-old woman named <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2914684\/Newborn-baby-dies-woman-douses-flammable-liquid-sets-fire-middle-road.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier <\/a>exercised her right to dispose of a baby. Miss Dorvilier doused the tiny body of her own child in a flammable substance, set it on fire, and then left the infant in flames lying in the middle of the road.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbor\u00a0Dave Joseph and his wife\u00a0witnessed the incident. After she\u00a0stepped out of her\u00a0car, the\u00a0young mother told the couple she was there to burn dog feces. Joseph\u00a0said that\u00a0as she committed the heinous act,\u00a0Dorvilier&#8217;s &#8220;demeanor was calm&#8221; and she appeared as if\u00a0&#8220;she knew what she was doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When Joseph&#8217;s wife realized what was happening, and began to scream, Hyphernkemberly\u00a0attempted to flee, leaving the child smoldering in the street. Before she could escape, the woman\u00a0was apprehended by witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>After the police arrived and the fire was extinguished, the small baby who was suffering with second- and third-degree burns all over its frail body, was flown to St. Christopher\u2019s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where the infant\u00a0died.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_58634\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58634\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-58634\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/stchristophershospital-300x143.jpg\" alt=\"St Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia . Source: stchristophershospital.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Charged with one count of murder, Dorvilier is now being held in Burlington County Corrections and Work Release Center, with her bail set at $500,000.<\/p>\n<p>To the civilized, it\u2019s hard to comprehend how anyone, let alone a mother, could commit such an atrocity.<\/p>\n<p>The question now is whether Hypernkemberly is mentally deranged or just a woman of the same ilk as\u00a0those who <a href=\"\/news\/?p=57967\" target=\"_blank\">dispose of newborns<\/a> in <a href=\"\/news\/?p=53283\" target=\"_blank\">dumpsters<\/a>, place them in <a href=\"\/news\/?p=49227\" target=\"_blank\">garbage bags<\/a> on the curb, or leave their young in <a href=\"\/news\/?p=53191\" target=\"_blank\">trash bins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of Miss Dorvilier\u2019s motivation, drenching a child in a\u00a0flammable liquid\u00a0and then setting a living human being on fire is yet\u00a0another sign\u00a0of a society suffering from a depraved indifference to life\u00a0\u2014 a culture where, regardless of whether the reason is insanity or excessive\u00a0self-regard, treating children\u00a0worse than\u00a0dog feces\u00a0has become a commonplace occurrence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most people believe that the modern world is more civilized than it was thousands of years ago, when, as part of a human sacrifice to a false god, firstborn children were burnt alive in order to ensure financial prosperity, a good harvest, and a secure future.
