Suddenly there’s no room at the inn when Planned Parenthood is next door.<\/p>\n

A pro-life pregnancy center in Vacaville, CA is the focus of a lawsuit filed by the Pacific Justice Institute.\u00a0 Alpha Pregnancy Centers had its lease revoked days before it was to move into a new facility, near Planned Parenthood. The suit asserts that may be exactly why Alpha was ejected.<\/p>\n

Alpha\u00a0 sought a new facility for its growing center, moving from behind a grocery story into a medical arts building. It found a space, signed a lease, paid its rent–and had the rent check returned, un-cashed, saying Alpha wasn’t a good fit in the center.<\/p>\n

The suit says that Alpha was victim of a discriminatory breach of contract, leaving the pro-life focused center, with claims they don’t fit in at the inn, just before the Christmas season.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit implies that abortion giant Planned Parenthood may the reason why Alpha was booted out. The Pacific Justice Institute says<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“One of the building\u2019s current tenants is Planned Parenthood, the nation\u2019s largest abortion provider. \u00a0In other cities and states, Planned Parenthood has sought to shut down non-profits similar to Alpha that encourage women to consider alternatives to abortion. “<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cDuring this Christmas season, it is sadly ironic that pregnant women are again being denied access to a place that could offer safety and hope.\u00a0 This time, though it isn\u2019t because there is no room at the inn\u2014it is because of opposition to the pregnancy\u00a0clinic\u2019s pro-life beliefs.\u00a0 This is not just ironic\u2014it is illegal under California law.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
And because discrimination based on beliefs is illegal, no matter what the beliefs, the suit “seeks specific performance of the rental contract and damages under California\u2019s Unruh Civil Rights Act.”<\/div>\n

Though this is\u00a0 probably another sad example of the prejudice and discrimination against pro-lifers, it’s not a surprising one. The unwritten rules in the abortion world seem to state that choice is the most important thing–as long as that choice is not life.<\/div>\n

Even though the\u00a0 executive director of the Alpha center, Diedre Eckle, told a news station<\/a> that “her organization has never been confrontational with pro-choice providers and respects a woman’s decision if she chooses abortion,” that is apparently not enough choice for abortion advocates.<\/div>\n

While no one has commented yet, it’s not a stretch to imagine the fear that must have filled Planned Parenthood over in suite 210, not far from Alpha’s planned move in to suite 230. Planned Parenthood may have been imagining that a woman might see another option so close by. How hard would it be to just walk in and ask? It was probably so easy to imagine that no one wanted that choice to happen.<\/div>\n

Planned Parenthood actually believes that pro-life pregnancy centers are not “legitimate” simply because they focus on life. Their website explains this<\/a> and gives tips on “avoiding” one of the pro-life centers.<\/div>\n

Though Planned Parenthood has the gall to say,<\/a> “No health care provider should pressure you into a decision about your pregnancy. All real family planning clinics will give you information about all your options,” the truth is that Planned Parenthood only pretends to give a fair presentation of all the options as Live Action\u00a0investigative footage has uncovered<\/a>:<\/div>\n
